Hockey drill: offer in-out

Suitable for the following techniques: ball control passing

Offer in-out

  • Extension of exercise 1 of this training.
  • A passes the ball to B.
  • A moves to the outside to get the ball back there.
  • There is no space there so she accelerates on the pawn back to the middle and gets the ball from B.
  • B must look at what A is doing and judge what is the best moment to pass the ball.
  • Let A do this a number of times and then put in a defender.
  • B must then think about when he wants to pass the ball
  • This may be when A runs to the outside, that he gives the ball when he thinks he can, or that he waits for A to speed up and then gives the ball.
  • B should therefore start thinking and see what the best moment is
  • Set up on both sides
