Korfball drills

  • Run through the rope ladder and/or zigzag through the pawns.
  • After the ladder/pawns the ball is passed to you and you score a through ball.
  • Make ten goals at each pole with your pair.
  • It is a warming-up, so do this at a slow pace.
  • Post 1:
    • One foot in the ladder step at a time.
  • Post 2:
    • Two feet in the ladder step at a time.
  • Post 3:
    • Hopping from hole to hole.
  • Pole 4:
    • Zigzagging around the cones.
  • Pole 5:
    • 2 pawns forward, 1 backward, 2 forward etc.
  • Two numbers:
    • Who scores the most laps?
  • Number 1 is going to shoot, number 2 is going to catch.
  • The number 1 starts in front of the basket and will shoot 1 time on each side of the basket. (front, right, back, left)
  • If the number 1 shoots 50% of these 4 chances, he/she may start a new round.
  • The number 1 counts how many rounds he/she makes.
  • When not 2 of the 4 chances are hit, then there must be changed.
  • After 5 to 10 minutes, the player who has made the most rounds is the winner!
  • Too difficult:
    • Score once per round.
  • Variation:
    • Start the first round at 2 meter, then at 4, 6, 8 and 10 meter.
drawing Wheel of Fortune
  • You shoot at 6 metres in front of the basket.
  • The other one catches it.
  • The ball is played out again and the catcher runs away from the basket.
  • He gets the ball back and shoots at about 6 meters.
  • The person who catches the ball, plays off, runs away and gets the ball back and shoots.
  • Which pair will be first to score 10 times?
  • Per pole with 2 or 3 participants you start with 20 balls which are indicated from the space.
  • When 20 have been scored you and your pole continue with the next exercise.
  • 10 distance shots from the spot.
  • Scored?
  • Move on to 10 dodge balls.
  • Each team has to score these goals.

  • Trio shooting.
  • Shoot a threesome with pairs.
  • In order:
    • Distance shot.
    • Passing ball and small chance near the post.
  • Who is first to score 25 points.
  • Point count:
    • 0 x hit = -1.
    • 1 x hit = 0.
    • 2 x hit = 2 or 3 points where the walkthrough and small chance count for 1 and the distance shot for 2.
    • 3 x hit = 5.
  • When both players have 25 points, the exercise is finished.
  • Player sprints forward.
  • Then sideways to the left.
  • Sideways to the right.
  • Sideways to the middle.
  • Finally, backwards to the starting point.
  • Do this in groups of 3 and do this 5 times each.
drawing T-Loop
  • Player in front of the basket places the ball to the right (the blue player) and walks to the left side.
  • At the pylon, she receives the ball from the blue player and she shoots out of motion.
  • The white lady catches the ball.
  • The passer becomes the shooter, the catcher becomes the receiver and the shooter starts to catch.
  • Score with 3 from the left 15 times and from the right 15 times.
drawing distance shot
  • Hat at 6 meters in front of the basket and a hat next to the basket at 5 meters.
  • Play the ball forward.
  • The player puts the ball on the ground and walks to the other hat and then to the basket.
  • The declarer runs to the ball and gives the other player a through ball.
  • Score together 20 times.
  • Make a kind of tennis court with pawns, where there are 3 squares (the middle square is 'the net', this is about one meter wide).
  • In the two outermost squares stands a player.
  • The two players take turns with the ball.
  • They have to bounce the ball in the middle square, and try to bounce the ball in the other player's square.
  • In between they catch the ball, so you are not allowed to tap it!
  • The handler stands 3 meters next to the post.
  • The handler passes the ball when asked to do so by putting his hands forward.
  • The taker catches the ball himself.
  • The handler becomes the shooter and the shooter becomes the handler. score 10 goals pp

Training on tight passing.

  • 2 players start at about 2 metres from each other You can increase/decrease the distance over time or depending on the variation you do.
  • Passes must be hard!
  • Make sure that you don't throw hard just for the sake of throwing hard, but that you throw hard to get the ball to the team-mate quickly and tightly.
  • Keep reminding them of this constantly.
  • Passes should also be tight.
  • No "piss bows". These passes are slow and easy to intercept.
  • When catching with one hand, make sure you move with the hand and if necessary step with the corresponding leg

Variation 1

  • Player 1 passes with his right hand to player 2's left hand.
  • Player 2 takes over and passes right back to player 1.
  • After one minute both players change their throwing and catching hand.
  • Repeat this at larger and larger distances.

Variant 2

  • Player 1 passes right to player 2's left hand.
  • Player 2 passes back with his left hand to the right hand of player 1.
  • After one minute both players change their throwing and catching hand.

Variant 3 - with movement left-right

  • Player 1 has the ball.
  • Player 2 moves to the left or right.
  • Player 1 passes to outside hand of player 2.
  • Player 2 passes back with his outside hand.
  • After one minute, the players change positions. (Player 1 moves left/right. Player 2 passes to).
  • Repeat at increasing distances.

Variant 4 - deep line

  • Player 1 has the ball.
  • Player 2 moves towards player 1 from the side.
  • Player 2 puts his foot across and runs a deep line away from player 1.
  • Player 1 passes with a small arc (but still tight!) to player 2.
  • After one minute the players change function (player 1 starts running, player 2 passes to him).

  • Players run/dribble around a set square. (poles/pawns, sufficient distance from each other).
  • Players are given a list of commands in advance, with a corresponding number.
  • The trainer calls out a number randomly, players carry out the assignment.
  • You can adjust the number of missions and the missions themselves.
  • Example of assignments.
