serving-pawns-from-the-bench

  • Try to serve the pawns from the bank. Team that empties the bank first wins
  • With 7-9 (odd number) players in a circle,
  • Overhead passing,
    • skip 1 person each time.
  • Then the same, but underhand.
  • 4 players per field half, on the corners of the field.
  • 1 player works, gets 2x a ball from each player. First thrown, diagonally, then hit.
  • Movement is clockwise. Move quickly, high tempo exercise.
  • If there are more than 10 players, 6 per field half can also be placed.

This exercise is best done with several trainers (e.g. trainer + assistant trainer) and space in the gym.

  • Equipment: balls, 3 rings (or pawns/mats)
  • Format: divide field in 3 areas
  • This exercise is divided into increasing levels of difficulty so that each player can perform the exercise at their own level. This way the exercise remains fun and challenging for everyone.
  • Extension possibilities

  • FIELD 1:

All players have their own ball. Throw the ball, test it and catch it yourself.

Good X number of times, then move to field 2.

  • FIELD 2:

Coach throws ball over net. Player keys and catches ball.

Player retrieves ball, puts in trainer's basket and connects again.

X number of good shots + catch (judged by trainer), then move on to field 3.

  • FIELD 3:

Trainer throws ball over net. Player tests, catches and throws ball back over net. Throw ball into the ring/on the mat on the other side of the field.

Retrieve ball by yourself and connect.
