  • Player 1 throws the ball to player 3.
  • 3 passes back and then runs sideways to player 2.
  • Player 2 throws the ball to 3 and 3 passes back again.
  • Approximately 3 minutes pp or longer if the players can handle it.
  • The dotted lines show how the ball moves, the normal line shows how the player moves.

  • Ball is served.
  • Pass by 1/5/6.
  • Set-up by 1, but on a first pass by 1 set-up by 2.
  • After set-up an attack by 2/3/4, but on a set-up by 2 only an attack by 3/4.
  • After service 2 (or more) players walk into the court to play.
  • Ball/ralley is played all the way out.
  • NB: FOCUS IS ON THE SERVICE PASS!

Three in a row on the back line.
Trainer throws ball. Players walk into the field.

Now the trainer calls a number, 1, 2, or 3 and he has to play first.
The player behind takes the second ball and so on.

  • game form 3:3
  • Points may only be scored in the backfield.
  • Variation
  • - mandatory playing 3 times
  • - mandatory smash
  • If there is no smash as third ball, point opponent
  • 6 players on one side
  • trainer starts the rally.
  • players handle ball, and play rally.
  • Pay attention to how the trainer starts the rally.
  • If the trainer plays a high ball in the back, the whole team must move backwards, if the trainer plays an attack on the sides, the SV must join the left/right front, in front of the block.
  • The rest join in. Libero covers the block.
  • Variation:
  • - mandatory 3x play
  • - Mandatory 3rd ball smash
  • one ball in pairs.
  • hold the ball up high
  • then move sideways over the sidelines along the net or around the field.

Exercise with several links, so it is important that each link seriously participates.

  • From position 2 a player throws the ball to the player at position 6.
  • This player passes the ball to SV at position 3.
  • SV plays the ball to 4.
  • Here a player catches the ball, and connects with position 2 (outside off).
  • Every player changes position 1.
  • Variation:
    • Instead of passing underhand, pass overhead.
    • Instead of overhand, smash.


PART 2:

  • Instead of catching, the player in position 4 smashes the ball. Note: at the net, step back, attack pass and smash.
  • 6 players play a full attack.
  • Points of attention: how do you stand at the service of the opponent. (Classic/switch).

  • go over the lines. Also play without the ball.
  • After every second service, change players.



  • three pass to each other.
  • One person takes care of control.
  • So don't play around, but take turns passing to a lone person.
  • Groups of three players.
  • Two behind each other, at four metres another one.
  • The first one of the pair throws the ball to the player in front of him, this one does a check and then passes to the third player and so on.
  • Pass the ball every time.
  • From position 6, player throws ball to SV at 3.
  • This player SV takes turns playing left right. Catch ball and go to position 6. The thrower without ball, goes to respectively 2 and 4 to catch the ball.
  • Change SV regularly.
  • This can be done on both sides of the field
  • Variation:
    • Pos. 2 throws to pos.6 this passes seam SV this plays alternately to the left and right.
  • 4 in attack with playmaker.
  • Other side, 1 on reserve out of the field (right at position 1,2) and 3 in the pass and a dropout.
  • The rest with ball on position 2 at the side of the attackers.
  • These throw the ball to attacker who then pass the ball to SV and get a setup back.
  • Attacking 3 defenders who pass to the offender.
  • Reserve enters the field and the passers rotate.
  • Last passer becomes receiver and receiver goes to line with ball.
