Volleyball drills for technique warming-up

  • Divide players into 2 teams over both halves of the field. 1 player waits at the pawn.
  • Trainer throws the ball in. Teams play the ball over the net to each other.
  • Each player who has played the ball taps the pawn, waits and then takes the place of the one currently leaving the field.
  • After playing over the net each time, pass on.
Extension: throw in the same way as you caught the ball.

  • Make 2 teams.
  • Each team stands ready on one side of the field on the back line.
  • Put as many balls as players on both the 3-meter lines.
  • When the trainer/trainer calls GO!, everyone starts rolling the balls to the other side.
  • Whoever has the fewest balls in their field after 3 minutes has won.

  • At trainer's signal, both players start sprinting.
  • Blue must run around first pawn and Red runs straight through to tap Blue.
  • Red becomes Blue and flips over.
  • Player with ball carrier plays 1 ball per duo over net.
  • Duo tries to defend and make point.

  • Divide the group into pairs
  • Each side lie 2 mats on the ground
  1. Make roll on the mat and sprint to the net. Block jump.
  2. TR plays the ball in.
  3. Ball must be played in threes with attack.
  4. Who has the most points
  5. For extra point: 2 mats on other field, if hit get 2 points.

  • All players on 1 side.
  • 1 catcher on 2/3.
  • The rest on the 3 yards. Right and then left.
Exercise:
  1. Player sprints around the pawn.
  2. Once player is around the pawn TR throws the ball up. Pass to 2/3 catcher.
Extension:
  1. 1 solid SV at 2/3.
  2. Player sprints around the pawn.
  3. As soon as the player is around the pawn TR throws the ball up. Pass to SV and attack own ball at 52.
Note: if unable to attack well then ready an attacker at 52 and the passer becomes attacker.

We are one team so we stay on one line and do everything 3 times.


On the coach's cue:
  • Quiet run to the net, tap ML and return backwards.
  • To the net with right knee raise and back left knee.
  • To the net with heel-butt right and back left.
  • To the net combined with right knee lift and right heel-butt.
  • To the net and back in sprint to 7meter line.
  • To the net combined with left knee lift and left heel-butt.
  • To the net and back in sprint to 7 meter line.
  • Slow run to the net, touch ML and backward back.
  • Starts with 1 ticker.
  • When someone is tapped, they shake hands and tap together.
  • Form a long pendulum until everyone is tagged.
Organization : 1 ladder per 7.
Perform each exercise 2 x.

  1. Forward 2 x in each step.
  2. Forward 3 x in each step.
  3. Forward 4 x in each step.
  4. LV in RV in LV out RV out, foot in foot out.
  5. LV in LV out/RV in RV out/LV in and so on.
  6. Standing next to ladder RV in jump LV in sping RV in next box jump.
  7. Pump stance LH in RH in and so on.
  8. Sideways 1 x in each step.
  9. Sideways 2 x in each step.
  10. Sideways 3 x in each step.
  11. Forward step sideways in each step L and R.
  12. Forward step 2 x sideways in each step L and R.
Various strength exercises:

  • 20 seconds of planks straight.
  • 20 seconds of planks left.
  • 20 seconds planks right.
  • Recline: tap left shoulder, tap right shoulder, slap behind back and again. 5 x.
  • 10 squat jumps.
Repeat all exercises 3x.
  • 5-minute jog.
  • Throw ball in from defensive end to passer and pass.
  • Passer passes to defense.
  • Attacker becomes passer.
  • Player defending stays standing.
