Divide the players into 4 or more groups, depending on the number of players.
Players take position in the ready stance at the baseline.
At the coach's whistle, the first player of each group runs to the first cone at the free throw line, touches it, and runs back to the baseline to touch it.
The same player runs to the midline, touches the cone there, and runs back to the baseline to touch it.
The same player runs to the other free throw line, touches the cone, and runs back to the baseline.
Finally, the same player runs to the baseline on the other side of the court, touches it, and returns to the starting position.
Upon return, the second player is tagged and performs the same exercise, followed by the third, fourth player, and so on.
Extensions
Players perform the same exercise, but this time dribbling with the ball.
Same as the previous, but dribbling with the left hand on the way there and with the right hand on the way back.
Same as the first extension, but dribbling forward with the left hand and dribbling backward with the right hand on the way back.
Players run/sprint without the ball, perform a jump stop at the cone, pivot, and run/sprint back.
Players dribble with the ball, perform a jump stop at the cone, pivot, and dribble back.
Points of Attention
Request/demand correct dribbles and jump stops.
Ensure that each player touches the cone or baseline.
Tip
With many players and groups of more than 2 players, give a task to waiting players, such as shooting on a second court.
With a large number of players, the exercise can be done on a half court, starting from both sides of the court.
