3-1 play with deep running players: various variations
Version 1
The players start passing around in a 4-0 situation. One of the players makes a running action towards the rebound, creating a 3-1 situation.
The three outside players move towards each other with continuous ball movements.
The player who ran towards the rebound steps out to the middle player and receives the ball. This can be any player.
The player who stepped out passes the ball back to the middle player.
The other two players make a deep running line and one of them receives the ball and shoots.
The player who stepped out turns back and takes the rebound position.
Version 2
Steps 1 to 6 remain the same.
The middle player cuts around the feeder at the back and comes into the feeding position at the front of the post.
The player who received the ball passes to the feeder.
The feeder passes to the player next to them and takes a shot.
Version 3
Identical to version 1.
The player who threw the cross ball moves sideways to come next to the player who received the ball.
This player receives the ball and the two players at the front make running actions inside for the running-in shot.
