Attacking and defensive match forms
Objective
Improve attacking and defensive skills in match situations.
Execution
Begin with the wing players who bring the ball into play from the side.
The ball is played to a player in position 3, who then runs forward.
The player in position 3 receives a pass and tries to score by shooting.
Simultaneously, the player with the ball runs towards the other goal.
The player enters a one-on-one situation with the wing player of the other team who tries to block the scoring opportunity.
The wing player of the other team does the same against the player in position 3 of the other team.
Once a goal is scored, or the opportunity is over, the coach introduces a new ball into play.
The coach calls out the colour of the team that must bring the ball into play, so all players remain actively involved.
