Hockey drills
- V1 starts with the ball
- V2 comes running in and gets the ball from V1
- V2 takes the ball open and passes to V3
- V2 runs right through to offer his pass to V3
- V3 passes the ball back to V2, who runs into the circle and completes
- A passes the ball to B when V3 has given the ball to V2
- B passes the ball outside where C presents himself
- It now becomes a 3 vs.
- V1, V2, V3 are going to try to defend the goal
- A, B, C want to score on the goal
- If the defense takes the ball away, they can score in the goal on the side
- A starts with the ball
- B comes running in and gets the ball from A. B takes the ball strongly and passes it back to A
- B turns right on away and gets the ball in his forehand from A
- A runs through, B passes the ball through the triangle to A
- A takes the ball and passes it to the incoming C
- C comes in front of the band and takes strong possession
- B has run through, C plays the ball wide to B
- B takes hold, drives into the circle and rounds on goal
- Part 1:
- The player with the ball passes it to the player closest to the center line.
- This one takes the ball in motion to the outside.
- Makes a 1-2 with his teammate on the outside.
- Then runs into the depth.
- Gets the ball after the sticklead.
- Finishes on goal.
- Part 2:
- After the player in coverage gets the ball the 2-on-1 starts.
- Part 3:
- A pair, attacker and defender, also starts in the circle.
- Team blue starts in a 2:1 where one of the players must leave the square running.
- If this is successful it becomes a 5:4.
- A 2nd ball follows from the trainer.
Stairs.
- Player blue starts with the ball at the orange pawn.
- Player blue drives the ball toward the red pawn, pulls the ball under him toward the blue pawn and then accelerates briefly with the backhand around the blue pawn.
- You do this movement three times in a row.
- Then you round on goal.
- Depending on the number of players, put the exercise out once or twice.
Minefield
- Start at the orange pawn and dribble through the minefield towards the goal.
- Keep the ball close to you and try to make sure you don't hit the pawns.
- Once you are past the minefield, round off with a hit on goal.
- Plot the exercise twice, if necessary.

- Touching the ball twice
- Take and play
- A starts with the ball and plays it back to B first.
- When B has taken the ball the 3-on-3 starts and the defenders may start pressuring.
- Tips for the attackers:
- Use the practice of switching the strikers.
- Play only the safe ball.
- Remember the 4 squares in the circle.
- Tips for the defenders:
- Keep your man/woman in the circle.
- Push them to one side.
- Always put pressure on the ball so don't let them shoot.
You play ball possession with your team.
- Keep the ball in your own team
- Create triangles to move the ball around easily
- Party game with two goals and a square in the middle of the field.
- The ball may not be played through the square. In that case the ball is in touch.
- So the idea is to play field hockey outside and not through the axis of the field.
- A starts with the ball
- B comes for the ball, puts his/her stick down
- A plays a hard aimed push to B
- B elevators the ball over the bar
- Turns away and drives the ball into the circle and rounds off
- A starts with the ball
- The player floats with the ball to the pawn in front of him/her
- The player drives around it with her/his forehand
- A gives a push out of the run to the in-running B
- B runs in and takes the ball
- Pushes into the circle and rounds on goal
