Korfball drills

This is an isolated drill to practice dynamic rebounding.

  • Players have to estimate from the movement where the ball will end up and grab it as fast as possible.
  • The ball starts under the basket and is thrown to the player in front of the post.
  • He shoots.
  • The player in front of the post runs to the cap and back and tries to catch the ball within 1 bounce.
  • When the rebounder has succeeded in catching the ball after at most one bounce, he can shoot again.
  • Move the cap further away.
  • Challenge players to catch the ball without a bounce.
  • 2 posts, under each post there is 1 declarator.
  • In the middle stands an attacker and a defender.
  • Attacker can score on both posts.

Objective:

  • Earn a point by catching the ball over the line.

Rules:

  • A party starts from behind the line with the ball.
  • Intercepted ball is ball first to your own line and then to the other side for a point.
  • Balls out count.
  • When a point is gained, the opponent gets the ball from there.

Points of attention:

  • For defending.
  • Play on the side by moving on one leg.
  • Play at tempo.
  • Watch each other and your opponents place.

drawing bring the ball over the line
  • The ball starts under the basket and is thrown to the child in front of the basket.
  • The child under the basket then runs after the ball to defend.
  • It is important that the attacker is central. With too much defensive pressure, the attacker cannot practice.

  • Party
  • E1 against E2
  • Encourage E2 to take turnovers, because E1 is not defending well yet.
    • Offensive: let the ball go fast, but do not run through each other.
  • Encourage E2 to defend closer to the ball.
  • Encourage E1 to make actions towards the basket and try to get free at shot distance.
    • Defensively do not turn around, stay with your opponent etc.

In short: practicing various shooting variants in a fun competition form.

  • Organization: per group a basket and a ball, the baskets are preferably (but not necessary) arranged in a circle or rectangle.
  • The number of persons per group is less important (but all groups are about the same size).
  • The first assignment for the groups is: score 10 goals.
  • When you have completed this assignment, the person who scored the last goal runs to the trainer to pick up the next assignment.
  • Which group completed all assignments first?
  • The trainer walks around, encouraging, or correcting.
  • He has a piece of paper with him with a row of assignments on it.
  • When someone comes to pick up the next assignment, first ask which one has just been done (this can vary considerably over time) and then hand out the next assignment.
  • An example list: 10 walk-through balls, 15 penalty shots, 5 8-meter shots, 10 walk-through balls from behind the basket, 5 dodge balls next to the pole, 10 6-meter shots.
  • Everything is possible of course, a lot of momentum is gained if the number of goals to be scored is kept small.
  • 10 walk-through balls
  • 20 small oppertunities
  • 6 remote shots
  • 10 penalty throws
  • 1 backwards

  • Triplets under the basket
  • No. 1 shoots from under the basket
  • No. 2 catches the ball and shoots from under the basket (there where she/he catches the ball)
  • No. 3 catches the ball .........
  • Nr. 1 catches the ball ......... etc.
  • Whichever team has scored 30 goals first.
  • Option, when the ball falls to the ground 1 point deducted from the goal score, less than 0 is not possible.

You will play matches with even numbers, but instead of earning points by scoring, you can also earn points by catching the ball.

  • Goal is worth 1 point
  • Catching the ball after a shot(rebounding) 2 points
  • Make groups of 3 to 4 cows.
  • Start at the side and stop at the other side.
  • Number 1 throws to 2,
  • 2 to 3
  • and 3 to 1 again.
  • Always about 3 mtr and kk are instructed to use diagonal running lines.
    • Pay attention to throw for the lady and show the hand which has to be thrown.
  • Number of times without opponent and then with opponents.
  • You get one point for reaching the line.
  • When the ball is intercepted, everyone stands on the same height as the player with the ball and then they can start.
  • Ladies and gentlemen each at a post, two shooters in front of the basket at 7 metres.
  • One rebounder and one defender under the basket.
  • Two pawns at the side of the basket at 4 metres.
  • The rebounder has to sprint away to touch one of the pawns and run back to the basket to get the rebound.
  • The defender has to follow the rebounder to the pile, also touching the pile and trying to make it easy for the rebounder.
  • The rebounder gets to run away five times? Who catches the most of the five times? The rebounder or the defender?
  • Pairs of players at the basket.
  • Free ball 1 and 2 practice with defenders.
  • Wanna know which ones?
  • Who scores the most from 5 free balls taken? (1 and 2 = 10 free balls taken each)
  • Shooting from a neighborhood ball from 7 yards with two attackers under the basket each with a ball.
  • Which player scores the most in two minutes?
