Korfball drills for technique warming-up

  • Divide the team in groups of 2, max 3
  • Each group starts on its own pole
  • Per pole you score X number of goals
  • Finished? Then move on to another pole (may be random, may be in order)
  • Finally score X number of goals on your own pole.
  • Who is the first to score on all the poles wins.
  • Posts in a square
  • One forward per pole
  • Other players take through balls from the middle.
  • Instead of completing the walkthrough, the player who came up to the post pulls away for a short distance.
  • The player who came up to the goal runs through, takes off one more time, gets the ball and shoots.
  • Change after every shot.
  • Number 1 is going to take penalties until 10 have been scored.
  • In the meantime number 2 does running exercises.
  • As soon as number 1 has scored 10, there is a change of function.
  • Players stand in different groups at the pole and get a shooting assignment.
  • E.g. score 3 times in a row without missing from 5 metres.
  • The player who has done this can come to the middle and say higher or lower with his row of cards.
  • This exercise is repeated until someone has finished his row of cards.
  • In case of a wrong guess, the card is replaced by a spare card.

  • The teacher sets out three areas of approximately equal size with pawns.
  • It is best to use the volleyball lines (see map).
  • There are three sections (see map):
  • Left: barons square (losers square)
  • Centre: princes section (neutral section)
  • Right: king of the court (winner section)
  • All students stand in the middle section.
  • With a signal from the teacher the game starts.
  • All pupils have to try to tap/strike the ball of another pupil out of the box.
  • If you succeed you move one square to the right.
  • If your ball is knocked away you move up one square to the left.
  • If you hit/tap someone's ball out of the box on the right you score a point.
  • If your ball is knocked out of the winner's box you lose all your points.
  • If your ball is knocked out of the left box nothing happens and you stay standing.
  • When the teacher gives the final signal the person with the most points is king of the court and he/she has won.

  • 1 declarer throws the ball to the person in front of the basket
  • he then makes a shot when the ball is caught
  • under the basket he then goes inside
  • and takes a walkthrough ball
  • finally, he takes a short chance
    • you can play this like this, for example, who is the first to the 20
  • Two pairs shake hands in a crossed position (see photo) and kneel down in the sitting position.

  • 1 player stands at pilon 1,
  • 1 player stands at pilon 2.
  • Person 2 chooses whether to sprint to pilon 3 or pilon 4.
  • Person 1 stands with his back to person 2.
  • As soon as he/she sees that person 2 has made a choice, he/she tries to tap person 2 before he/she has touched pilon 3 or 4.

  • 1 shooter in front of the post. 1 passer.
  • Possibly with slight defensive pressure.
  • Attacker moves left/right, gets the ball played and shoots (+-5 meters).
  • When he scores, he earns a point and shoots through, if he misses he must first run to a line behind him at about 5 metres from the place of shooting.
  • After this you can continue shooting.
  • Switch goals every 3/4 of the time.
  • Total 8/9 goals per post. (It depends on whether you play with or without a defender).
Work in pairs of 3. If a task fails, walk around the box and do the task again. Just until you finish.
Which group finishes first?
  • Take 10 through balls - score 9 times.
  • 10 shots from 5 meters - score 5x.
  • 10 shots from behind the basket at 4 meters - score 5x.
  • 10 penalty throws - 9x scoring.
The number of goals to score is fine for an A group and seniors. Adjust up or down if necessary.
Assignments for 3 teams: always take turns taking chances

  • Together score 9 go-arounds in a row.
    • In pairs make 6 go-arounds.
  • Together score 6 run-throughs in a row.
    • Basket from 2 to 4.
  • Together score 6 run-throughs, then together score 4 shots from movement from about 6 feet. Switch through after 2 shots.
    • Basket from 2 first together, score 4 through runners, then score together 4 shots from motion from about 4 meters behind the basket, change after 3 shots.
  • First each score 1 through runner, then each score 2 penalty throws.
    • At basket of 2, someone scores 2 follow-throughs.
  • First each score 1 follow-through, then each score 4 short chances under the basket.
    • At basket of 2, someone scores 2 through runners, and then each scores 6 short chances.
