Basketballexercises

  • All players start in the middle.
  • Then, (in this example blue) zigzag through the pawns ( make a crossover to the outside hand at each pawn)
  • Then, a right or left lay-up is made.
  • The ball is rebounded and the player walks to the mat.
  • At the mat, the player rolls the ball in front of him,
  • Then he/she does a head roll around the mat, then stands up
  • And runs after the ball, jumping towards the ball.
  • After the ball is caught, the player runs back toward the middle and joins behind 1 of the 2 rows

Note: Only do this in a safe environment where there are no obstructions from obstacles and people.

drawing Physical condition with rollover
  • 1 player outside the bucket (slightly higher than elbow)
  • Baseline player passes the ball and attacker may go only after defender taps
  • Note: attacker may not go through the middle (paint), drive him to the sideline or to other side
  • Speed it up: only a few dribbles
  • Put down 4 pylons
  • 2 players with ball under the basket.
  • Throw ball against board and pass oullet (get ball back, pass again and make layup)
  • Last passer takes rebound and starts with ball against board.
drawing Passing and scoring
  •  Pass behind the back (pass at the same time)
  •  Players facing each other (throw ball up), other player passes, pass back and off own ball)
  •  Same exercise but now with clap (clap hands)
  •  Pass exercises opposite each other (1 bounce, other chest)
  •  Pass exercise (get out and pass with one hand, opposite)

  • Tap, push-ups, sit-ups, jumping, lying on stomach, planks
  • After the whistle, sprint to the center line...then run out to other back line.

This exercise is designed to defend the cutting-in man.

  • 1 passer in the center circle with defender
  • 1 attacker and defender at forward positions
  • Guard starts dribbling and passes to forward (lets the ball arrive, then defends full on forward)
  • At that moment, the defender makes a jump-to-the-ball
