Execution
- Player 1 with the ball passes to Player 2 and takes the place of Player 2.
- Player 2 dribbles towards cone A.
- Player 3 runs towards cone A.
- As soon as the pass is possible, Player 2 passes the ball to Player 3.
- Player 2 takes the place of Player 3.
- Player 3 dribbles to cone B and passes to Player 4 when possible.
- Player 4 calls for the ball under the basket and finishes.
- Player 3 takes the place of Player 4.
- Player 4 goes along the sideline to the queue of Player 1, weaving through the cones with a slalom dribble.
Throw-In from Baseline - After Opponent's Score
- Positions: Thrower, ball handler, wing player, corner player (spots).
- Try to pass quickly and avoid too much dribbling.
- Positions: Thrower, ball handler, wing player, corner player (spots).
- The thrower never stands under the basket.
- The other three players stand on the designated line.
- The thrower calls "GO".
- The middle player runs towards the basket.
- If the ball cannot be received, make space again.
- The player on the same side as the thrower runs to the corner.
- The player on the opposite side of the thrower runs along the corner towards the basket.
Rules
- Focus is on team play and collaboration.
- Upon a steal or deflection, the defence must initiate a quick counterattack.
- Tempo: Players must attack quickly but make smart decisions.
- Players should try to take the initiative in the offence.
Execution
- Four players are involved in this exercise.
- The player with the ball starts at the top of the key and drives the ball into the paint.
- Then, he passes the ball to a teammate on the baseline.
- A flair screen is set on the weak side.
- The player with the ball then drives along the baseline.
- Finally, the ball is passed out to the corner for a shot.
5 versus 5 or 4 versus 4
- Depending on the number of players present.
- Start with a match without dribbling.
- Choose between a half or full court.
- Continue with a match where dribbling is allowed.
Setup
- Player 1 with the ball at the top of the three-point line (position 1, white).
- Player at position 2 or 3 (blue).
- The other players at position 4 or 5, on the same side as the forward (red).
- A defender or cone around the free-throw line, closer to player 1 (defender of 1).
- White passes the ball to blue and immediately makes a cutting movement towards the basket.
- White makes a fake move to the left and cuts over the defender.
- Blue passes the ball back to white during their movement and takes position 1.
- The first player of red fills the position of blue.
- White scores the ball and the ball goes to the new player in position 1.
- White joins red and becomes the last player in the red line.
- The exercise starts again.
Execution
- The ball goes to the player on the right who takes a shot.
- If a score is made, the shooter receives 2 or 3 points.
- Everyone goes for the rebound.
- A rebound earns 1 point, even if a score is made on an offensive rebound.
- The attack continues with an offensive rebound.
- With a defensive rebound, the teams switch roles.
Execution
- Play a short game of five-on-five.
- The duration of the game is 10 minutes.
- The team with the most points at the end wins.
- In case of a tie, the team that scores first in overtime wins.
- Keep strict track of time: 2 x 5 minutes with a 2-minute break.
Setup
- Stand with the whole group in a circle in the middle of the court.
- Ensure each player has one ball.
- Dribble normally (waist height).
- Dribble low (below knee height).
- Dribble extremely low (bounce no higher than ankle height).

- Dribble extremely high (above shoulder height).
- Dribble normally (waist height).
- Have the players sit while dribbling.
- Have the players stand up while dribbling.
- Have the players sit down again while dribbling.
- Players now dribble between their legs.
- Have them stand and make figure eights between their legs.
- Then rotate the ball around the waist as quickly as possible, then in the other direction.
- Note: Each part can be performed with both hands.
- The coach acts as an example.
Setup
- Players gather at the baseline in two groups.
- One player stands under the basket with the ball.
- Two players are ready to defend on the opposite side.
- The player with the ball dribbles to the other side.
- Players on the left and right run along the sideline to join the offense.
- The defense freely chooses whom to defend but remains active without taking a position in or around the key area.
- The player who finishes or loses the ball returns together with the two defenders.
- On the opposite side, two new defenders are already prepared.
Game Setup
- Make two teams of five players each.
- Play a game and apply the exercises that were done today.
- Make substitutions every 30 seconds if necessary.
Execution:
- Play freely on one or two baskets, depending on the number of players.
- No dribbling allowed, only passing.
