Handballexercises for technique attack / offense
The goal of the exercise is to have the goalkeeper take the short corner on a throw on goal.
- The attackers LO / RO are put in motion to RH / LH.
- They receive the ball back only after being set up between two players.
- LO / RO get the ball in motion and throw into the short corner.
- The goalkeeper taps the far post and gets into the correct position to stop the ball in the short corner.
- LO - MO - RO occupy + 1 ball
- 2 defenders, start opposite LO and MO
- Shift to middle > Jump and tap then defend immediately
- This is the signal for the attack to start
- Builders rush the ball around and create a breakthrough
- Players divide into 2 groups and stand to the right and left of the goal
- Goalkeeper must take turns tapping the ball from the players. Must be at pace in connection with players who are going to round off
- After tapping the ball, players slide with the ball over the back line via right or left to the sideline
- Arrived in the corners sprints to the middle line without bouncing
- Then round off at the goalkeeper
- Finisher
- Defender active
- All players divide into the corners and buildup positions.
- There are 2 defenders, 1x LO and 1x RO. They defend first passively and later actively.
- The left builder:
- Plays the ball to the corner.
- Starts in and gets it played back.
- Plays through to the middle at pace.
- Runs diagonally back to the sideline.
- Starts in and makes a passing move past the defender.
- The same happens on the right side.
- The left builds up:
- Plays to the corner.
- Gets it back and plays through to the middle.
- Middle starts up as does the builder.
- Corner starts in and gets the ball (with or without bounce).
- Defender defends passively.
- Corner tries to pass.
- Same on the other side.
- The left builder:
- Plays ball to the middle.
- Gets it back and plays to the corner.
- Corner starts putting pressure and so does the builder.
- Middle finishes by jump shot or passing move.
- Defender is active right away. If ball goes through LO, LO defender is active, and vice versa.
- Back-for-Back play with roll off of pivot
- Opponent always runs counter-attack
- Opposing corner is gone before the ball enters the goal
- Overtime play out well.
- Defenders away very quickly!
- Center out if goal.
- Throwing at a defender
- Scoring
- Blue with black starts with and runs 3 passes with the ball
- Throws the ball to red who comes running in
- Red throws the ball again to the next blue player who comes running in
- This is how the circle goes around
More difficult:
- 1 defender in the middle
- 2 defenders and 1 circle player
- Blue plays to red and red plays to the circle player
- Circle player plays to blue again
There are players who make only 1 or 2 passes when making a jump shot. To practice to really make 3 passes, you can do this exercise:
- Put 4 benches in a row as shown in the drawing.
- Have them take turns on the 1st bench.
- Then make 3 passes across the benches.
- Take a jump shot.
- Lay down a ladder
- Go through the ladder with 2 feet at high speed
- Hold the ball in your hand and pass it before entering the ladder
- Make a zero pass in front of the post at the end of the ladder
- Go around to the right through 2 pawns
- Get the ball and finish on goal
- Do the above steps from the other side as well
Variations: - With defender
- With circle
- 2 goalkeepers within 6 meters
- 2 teams of 3 at the 9 meters
- On signal players run, get ball from goalkeeper.
- Which team first pushes the ball into a hoop at the 6 meters on the opposite side?
Points of attention:
- Who runs, who stays to get the ball?
- Catching the ball sideways
- Speed and precision, catching the ball
