Handballexercises for u9
- At the end of the training, have the two teams play against each other.
- Coaching them, but letting the game run.
- Point out the pressure they have to put on and how to connect.
- Make sure the children apply the distance shot and various passing moves.
- Divide the group into 3 teams
- Each team takes place behind the square with the hats
- The squares are identical to each other and consist of four different coloured hats
- The first person of each team stands inside the square
- The trainer calls 1, 2 or 3 colours which have to be tapped by hand in the right order
- Then continue the course at maximum speed
- At the cones: forwards-backwards-forwards-backwards.
- At the ladder, each foot in the next square (several variations possible).
- Then sprint back past the first hat of the square.
- The fastest earns 1 point for his team
During the time that the track is completed, the other team members do push ups and abdominal exercises

- 8 mats in a circle, 4 defenders try to intercept the ball.
- Attackers must move to another mat after every ball contact.

- Intercepted ball, then change players.
- Option: chase the ball, free running on another mat is also allowed!
- Point of attention: defensive position, light on the feet, arms in good position.

- Bringing the ball up in teams of 3 (left formation, middle formation and right formation) and scoring the goal on the other side.

- Bring up the ball in 2 teams from your own 6 meter area.
- On your own half of the field you encounter 1 defender (stays only on this half of the field).
- On the other half of the field you encounter 2 defenders, but you also have a circle runner offensively.

- Red brings the ball up to the other side and tries to score.
- Pairs start from the back line.
- As soon as red makes a goal attempt, green may start to score a breakout at the opposite side.
- Red defends back.
- When green has taken a goal they have to go back to defend the other two red players.
- These have of course started at the moment that green has taken a goal attempt.
- This exercise can continue in a flowing way, because the players keep coming back to their own side.
- You can do this on time (which group has scored the most goals?) or you can choose who has scored the most goals.

- One person on the left side of the pitch (can also be another position) and this person has to shoot as many balls at the goal as possible within 1 minute (or longer).
- The rest of the players collect balls and one of them plays the balls to the ball.
- Shooting the link-up in succession.
- Keep track of how many times the player has scored.
- When you have shot, you must walk backwards to your position. Keep changing until everyone has been there.
Variation:
- Different ways of approaching (i.e. slightly inwards or outwards etc.)
- Different shots (underhand throw, bend throw, out of the way, etc.)
- Use more than 1 position
- 2 teams play against each other.

- 2 in opposite corners on the same longitudinal line and

- score by tapping a cone
- after tapping a cone move directly to another cone
- extra rule:
- by good contact the ball is for the defender.

- Ladder, then sprint to the side lane
- Push sideways at the cones
- Sprint between side lines, back outside.

- 2 ladders opposite each other,
- 2 high cones in the middle (on the sides) between the running ladders,
- 1 pawn with a hockey cap in the middle between the running ladders.
- From behind the ladders 2 players start at the same time;
- walk down the ladder,
- then to the side around the pawn and back to the pawn in the middle,
- The first one to grab the vest wins.
- As soon as the jacket is taken, the next 2 players can start.
Everyone a ball and bounce through 6 meter area. Doing different exercises:
- Bounce the ball through your legs every now and then
- Bounce the ball behind your back
- Try to catch the ball from someone else.
- Bounce on the spot, sit while bouncing, then lie down and then stand up again.
- Bounce with the wrong hand
Variant with the whistle:
- 1 whistle means bouncing with the wrong hand,
- To whistle twice is to pass the ball to someone you see,
- 3 whistles means bouncing the ball quickly to the touchline and back again.
