Korfballexercises for technique shoot / score / shot
- Combine in 3s around the post and score 40 through balls, coming at the basket from a different place each time.
The idea is to score from all sides. - Score 25 penalty shots.
- Move around the basket at a steady pace, making an evasive move just before the ball is played to you.
Score with 3 team 15 times. Again around the basket. - You keep moving at about 6/7 meters from the basket. After a "double" you shoot at the basket. Again all the way around the basket.
Note: at the back of the basket, you can shoot a maximum of 6 meters from the basket.
Number of players divided by 2 is the number of baskets needed.
Half of the players pick up a ball and stand at any basket. They remain here until the changeover time.
The rest of the players pick a basket to start. This group keeps working until the moment of change.
At the signal of the trainer, the players shoot.
How? The trainer can decide, distance, type of shot.
Round 1: 1 goal
Round 2: 2 goals
Round 3: 3 goals
Round 4: 4 goals
Round 5: 5 goals
The first player to score shouts loudly YES, all players must now immediately switch baskets.
The player who scored 1 goal in round 1 is in round 2, while the rest of the players are still in round 1.
Which player is first in round 5?
After this, the roles are reversed. The group of assist players/catch become workers and the workers become assist players/catch.
The exercise requires a lot of observation from the trainer. Who is in which round?

Versatile match exercise 4 against 4
- Make 2 teams of 4 players maximum.
If you have more players than 8, make 2 pairs and change quickly after each or after 2 goals. - Team 1 starts attacking at 1 basket, team 2 defends.
If team 1 scores, they may continue attacking, but start again at the starting pawn.
If team 2 intercepts the ball they have 1 shot opportunity to try to score on basket 2 or 3.
If the defence scores after 1 shot, they become the new offence team and may start at the starting pawn, to attack basket 1. - Which team has scored the 5 goals first? You can vary this.
- Change when there are more than 8 players: after 1 or 2 goals quickly change.
- Keep moving at 6 meters around the basket and get 1 shot from each side.
- After 4 shots switch functions.
- The rebounder tries to catch the ball with max 1x bounce.
- Who of the two first scores 15x
Just like in the game, I try to practice the shot from all sides and not just the favorite front side, in addition, the players are constantly on the move.
The rebounder must always assess where the ball is coming from and catch it as soon as possible and place it again.

The focus in this exercise is on shooting to score.
The shooter must score 3 goals. You get one point for each shot you hit and switch when you succeed.
The rebounder under the post gets one point for each shot you miss. In
this way we increase the pressure on the shooter in front of the basket.
When the shooter in front of the basket has scored three goals we switch functions.
The rebounder becomes the shooter and shoots until three goals have been scored. Who has the most points?

The rebounder becomes the shooter and shoots until three goals have been scored. Who has the most points?
- A shooter stands at shot distance in front of the basket, a rebounder under the post.
- The attacker keeps shooting until three goals have been scored.
- Each goal scored counts as a point for the shooter.
- Each missed shot counts as a point for the rebounder.
- When three goals are scored, there is a change of positions.
- When both players have scored three goals the game is over. Who has the most points?
Too difficult:
To prevent the rebounder from getting a lot of points because the shooter doesn't get to three goals (quickly) a rule of play can be introduced:

- If the shooter misses five times in a row, the game is also changed.
To make the shot easier, one can choose to shoot close to the post.
Too easy:
Does the shooter score a lot of goals? Challenge him by increasing the shot distance
The goal is to score 500x with each team in the 5 assignments, after each assignment there is an in-between exercise for variation:
- Task 1: Passing balls: score 120x
- Intermediate task 1: defend 2 v 1 on 3 posts (5 minutes)
- Task2: Shots from the front of the basket, out of motion: score 80x
- Intermediate task 2: longest run scoring at 2 minutes (missing is back to 0). After 2 minutes you change your declarator/shooter
- Task3: Short chances with interpass: score 120x
- Intermediate task 3: longest sequence of scoring at 2 minutes (missing is back to 0), but now there may be 1 miss before having to go back to 0. After 2 minutes you change players.
- Task4: Penalty throws: 100
- Intermediate task 4:
- At each post there is one fixed shooter with a fixed rebounder.
- In each round, the shooters must score one goal within the time limit.
- When a goal is scored, the ball is held.
- If no goal is scored within the time limit, the shooter is out of the game.
- The game will be played in the following rounds
: Round 1: 10 secondsRound
2: 5 secondsRound
3: 3 seconds or 1 opportunity - The shooter will not be changed until all rounds have been played.
- Are all players missing in a round? Then the round will be replayed!
- Intermediate task 4:
- Task 5: Shots back basket out of motion: 80 (possibly rotate poles 180°)
Per 2 (or 3) at a basket:
- Scoring 6 through balls together (with trio 8x scoring)
- Diversion to shot (alternate left and right)
- Scoring 4 together (with trio 5x scoring)
- 4 for 4 shots from your own distance
- Scoring together 6x in series 1,
- Scoring 4x in serie 2
- and score 2 x in serie 3 (with trio every 2 shots)
- Short chances
- Scoring 10x together
- Evasion to shot, then falling in for the through ball (only a point if both are scored in succession);
- Together 5 points (trio goes to 6 points)
- Shooting from a calm movement 4 to 4
- Scoring 5 points together
- Only one point when two shots in a row are scored (with trio every 2 shots, even if the last ball of shooter 1 goes in and the first one from player 2 are 2 shots in a row)
Play 3 series (see scoring exercise 3 ), which pole wins most often?
There is a shooter in the front court and a rebounder under the post.
- The shooter takes the following chances in a fixed order:
- Chance 1: Penalty throw (1 point)
- Chance 2: Distance shot (2 points)
- Chance 3: walkthrough ball (1 point)
- Chance 4: short chance behind the basket (1 point)
- To cash in on the points, a free throw must then be taken.
- If it is hit, the shooter gets the accumulated points. If the free throw is missed, the shooter gets no points.
- After a series (the four chances and the free ball), the position is changed.
The player will be focused on scoring the free throw, otherwise he will not get any points. This way we challenge the player to stay focused on scoring.
Too difficult:
Possibly have 2 chances taken to score 1 free throw.
Possibly have 2 chances taken to score 1 free throw.
Goal is to make 20 points (can be adjusted if needed).
The focus in this exercise is on finishing chances. If you don't score enough goals quickly enough, you will lose the game.
Objective is to score 2 goals.
The rebounder under the basket plays against the shooter in front of the basket.
Which of the two players scores 2 goals first? Then swap positions.

Which of the two players scores 2 goals first? Then swap positions.
The rebounder starts as a declarator so the shooter has to shoot on the move.
The rebounder may only shoot when he or she catches the ball in for the bots and when the shooter did not score.
Too easy or too difficult:
- Then increase or decrease the shot distance.
- Play with the number of goals they have to score.
- To challenge the rebounder, you can choose to have the rebounder start a few meters from the basket. It becomes more difficult for the rebounder to catch the ball in one shot.
- Any airball is immediately 2 points for the opponent and thus means change.
- This exercise is designed to let the players choose for themselves what they want to improve on.
- Which (improvement) goal, which they have set for themselves, do they want to improve here.
- As a trainer you can steer this by guiding the choice.
- For example: the exercise must have something to do with passing/shooting/attacking/looking etc.
- Set out a parcour of hats (= game board).
- Per pair of players a pylon is needed (or a water bottle/shirt).
- First exercise is the same for everyone, e.g. 20 balls. Then the game begins.
- Dice is the number of hats ahead.
- 1 through 5 are korfball drills, 6 = fitness task
- If you land on the same pylon as another duo, you may give them an extra assignment.
- Examples of korfball exercises:
- walk-through balls
- dodge
- shots
- penalty throw
- 2 walk-through balls and then a penalty throw
- pull-away balls
- Examples of fitness exercises:
- Squats
- Push-ups (possibly on knees)
- Jumping jacks
- Lunges, first stepping out with the left, then with the right.
- Burpees
Target
- To shoot cleanly and build up fitness
- Which pair has the first 5 up and down runs?
Rules
- You start by sprinting up and down 10 times
- Then you shoot 10 times and count how many times you score
- If you have scored 5 or more times (half of your number of sprints up and down), you may sprint up and down once less, so 9 times.
- Then you start shooting again and count how many times you score. If this is half or more than the number of times you sprinted up and down, you may subtract another time.
