Korfballexercises for u12

  • There are 4 baskets in each corner of the court.
  • Under each basket is a declarer.
  • The rest of the players stand in the middle.
  • From there they run with a sprint to a basket and take a go-around.
  • With the whole team, they score 20!
  • Players stand in a large circle.
  • The ball must always be passed to the neighbor.
  • The direction of passing can be clockwise or counterclockwise.
  • More and more balls are added.
  • When the ball hits the ground, players must walk to the edge of the field and back again before being allowed to continue.
  • The ball must be thrown with the left hand to the left and with the right hand to the right.
  • If it is too easy, one-handed catching is possible if necessary.

  • One player has the ball and shoots.

With 3 players:
  • The player who catches forms a team with the shooter.
  • 2 against 1 to attack.

  • You lay down 9 hoops or baskets in a square.
  • You divide the team into 2 groups and have them start from a number of meters.
  • Here they are given 3 pawns.
  • The children must walk to the hoops and place their given pawn in one of the hoops to get butter cheese and eggs.

  • When all the pawns have been used up they must move the pawns.

  • 1 player stands under the basket.

  • The shooter moves to the right and receives the ball on the outside hand.
  • Quickly stands properly for the shot and shoots from balance, this must be done quickly.
  • In the beginning this exercise still on two legs, possibly to 1 leg.
  • After the ball is caught, the player moves to the left and everything repeats itself.
  • Maximum of 5 shots per person and then switch.

Goal of exercise:

Trainer throws the ball into the field.

  • Opponents make free running difficult, but have hands on back.
  • The opponent defending around the player with the ball may use hands. The others don't.
  • Opponents try to intercept the ball and try to score.
Regularly correct on free running, speed up, directional changes, long pass instead of short, find space if corner is stuck.
Also be careful not to play over the basket and keep the space in front of the ball empty.

  • Then move back to the right and take a through ball after hand change.
  • Which basket scores 10x first?
  • Then the same task change directions.

Per 3 or 4 at the basket:
  • Using pawns, divide the attacking area around the basket into 4.
  • There are players in 3 of these 4 areas.
  • If 4 players, set up a rebound.

  • The moment player white passes the ball to player blue, player white moves to the free area. Player blue plays on to player red, and then also starts filling in the free space.
  • Note: do not let players run away too quickly, make sure they remain playable. The idea is that they make a timely attack. Walk towards the ball.
  • Give a signal to shoot, the other 2 will fill in the rebound from space.
  • Then play again and repeat.
- If it goes well, also try it with a defender -> let the pass be given, but then make it more difficult to get free.
- If feasible, you can also implement a support in the exercise.

Place 2 poles directly opposite each other.
Under each basket one player with ball and one player without.

  • The player without ball runs clockwise to the cone halfway diagonally across the court.
  • The ball is passed along in the run and passed to the declarer under the other basket.
  • Walk-through ball follows, self-catching.
  • Exercise repeats.

  • Players without ball run straight at each other. After a jump they go sideways to the cone.
  • There they continue without a pointer to the swerve on the other basket.
  • The shot is followed by a follow-through that is self-caught. Then you switch.

  • The player in give-up throws the ball away with backspin. The player without the ball runs to the ball and tries to catch it for the 2nd bounce. Make sure the ball is not thrown too far.
  • After catching, turn and pass to the supplied player, followed by a swerve with a shot.
  • Then run for a through ball at the other post, catching yourself.
