Korfballexercises for u15
In short: shooting practice (-game) in which you shoot from different sides of the basket.
Organization:
- Per basket one pair with a ball, or in case of lack of sufficient baskets 2 pairs each with a ball.
- At each basket, four pawns or other markers: one in front of and one behind the basket and one to the left and right of the basket, always at a distance of about 6 meters.
- One of each pair starts under the basket.
- The other is instructed to score a goal as quickly as possible from each pawn.
- Then switch positions.
- Which pair will finish 'the trip around the world' the quickest?
Variation:
- The distances can of course be made larger or smaller at will.
- Or: score 2 goals at each pawn.
Variation:
- Instead of shooting from standstill, it is possible to shoot from movement,
- Or simply: take evasive balls.
Variation:
- There are 2 pairs per basket.
- The two shooters are now instructed to score two goals together at each pawn, no matter who scores the goals.
- So there is a change of function after 4 times 2 goals have been scored.
- At which basket is the first to go around 2 times (and therefore has scored 16 goals first)?
The main consideration behind the above exercises is the fact that shooting is usually preferred from in front of the basket. And since a large part of the box is next to or behind the basket, it is necessary to practice from those spots as well. And shooting from there is really different: not only because the baskets usually hang slightly forward, but also because the attachment to the post is clearly visible to the shooter, which affects the estimation of the correct distance and height.
Clean shooting is always important of course, but here it comes down very much to scoring goals. When players play this game for the first time, they are initially quite vocal and there may be reactions like "this is impossible!" or "I don't like it". These reactions disappear after a short time, people start to shoot with great concentration and scoring improves by leaps and bounds. What seemed impossible at first, turns out to be possible after all!
- In the support and under the post is predefended.
- Double in front up to about 5/6 meters in front of the post.

- The shooters go after the ball and shoot again from that spot.
- When the first one scores, he gives the ball to number 3 who then starts shooting immediately.
- If the last shooter started scores first the first shooter is finished.
- Who wins this challenge.
- We play it from 4 sides of the basket.
In pairs at a basket with 5 markers. Starting at 1 meter to about 6 meters.
You may shoot 2x from any distance.

5 hurdles about 5 meters from the wall and 50 cm apart.
- Stand in front of the hurdle facing the hurdles and with knees slightly bent, go sideways through the hurdles 2x counterclockwise and 2x clockwise
- Stand sideways in front of the hurdle, jump over the hurdle and accelerate to the wall. Accelerate on the jump leg. 2x counterclockwise and 2x clockwise
- Jump over the hurdle, pull your knees up as high as possible and when coming down jump immediately. Everything on the front feet. 2x
- Hop over the hurdle, stand still for a moment and jump to the next hurdle. 2x left and 2x right
- Find balance. Walk over a line and tap the ground behind the hurdle with the toes of the outer foot. 2x left and 2x right
- Go sideways through the ladder with two feet always in each step 2x left and 2x right
- Stand in front of the speed ladder and step left into the ladder and then right into the ladder, then left out and right out and then again in 3x
- Stand in front of the ladder and jump with 2 feet into the ladder turning at right angles, then left out and left in, then right out and right in etc. 3x
- Stand in front of the ladder and step left and then right next to the ladder, then on the same step left/right into the ladder, then out again 3x
- Stand in front of the ladder, step left next to the ladder, then right next to the ladder one space, then left again, etc. 3x
Exercise 1
- start facing the ladder.
- jump through all the squares with the left leg.
- at the end of the ladder be jeep full speed.
- 3x with the left foot and 3x with the right foot.
Exercise 2
- face the ladder and step into the ladder with left foot and join right.
- step with left foot next to the ladder, with right foot in the air.
- put right foot in next compartment and join left.
- step right out of compartment and keep left foot up.
- put left foot in next box and join right.
- 3x through the ladder.
Exercise 3
- jump with your right foot next to the ladder and then hop with that same right foot into the first square, a quarter turn to the left.
- jump with left foot, a quarter turn to the right next to the next square and then hop a quarter turn in the ladder.
- Continue like this until the end of the ladder 2x.
Exercise 4
- start with right side to the ladder and jump into the first square.
- jump with both legs sideways to the next compartment with a 180 degree turn.
- continue to the end of the ladder 2x.
Exercise 5
- start facing the ladder and put left foot to the left of the ladder and right foot to the right of the ladder.
- then put left foot in ladder and join right.
- then one compartment further left outside the ladder and right outside the ladder.
- then back into the ladder.
- 2x start with the left and 2x start with the right.
- Run over two hurdles and then make a through ball 10x overhand, 10x underhand and 10x with 1 hand.
- Start on the left side of the hurdle and move to the right behind the hurdle, then move forward and back to the left, then move forward and quarter to the right score 10x.
- Then do this the other way around; score 10x
- Put the hurdles 5 meters apart, move to the left, jump over the hurdle and get the ball at the same time, come down, jump up and shoot at the same time, then to the right score 20x .
In pairs. One declarer and one attacker.

- The attacker runs wide left/right and gets the ball on the outside hand.
- Try to catch and play back with one hand.
- On the 4th pass the attacker is going to take a shot.
- Swap after 2 turns.
