Korfball drills for technique warming-up

Work with 3 or 4-person teams:
  • Make 15 through balls without missing
  • 20 distance shots on the move, maximum 2 shots in a row.
  • 15 dodge balls with double effort, so pass back and dodge again, the server gives light pressure on the shot.
  • 20 step-off balls behind the basket, indicating from a breakthrough, then the rebounder steps off and shoots. Step on time, not too early.
  • 15 penalty throws without missing. Take them alternately.
  • 20 shots from standstill at 3/4 yards; grab the focus.
  • You form 2 teams with the same number of players.
  • Each team has its own box.
  • On the back line of that box, both teams have tall pawns upside down.
  • The trick is for the other team to knock over the pawns.
  • Using fending off and defending the pawns you can win with your team.
  • All pawns of the opponent to then won.
Setup:
  • X number of baskets.
  • Use colored dice corresponding to color baskets.
Variation 1:
  • Have the players use the dice to determine how many shots/ chances to score/take at each basket.
  • They may take the ball to the other basket while running. Dribble down the court.
Variant 2:
  • Different types of chances!
  • 1 hand, penalty throw, through ball while running with the ball, etc.
Variant 3:
  • Have the players use the dice to determine how many shots/opportunities to score/take at the basket corresponding to the color of the die.

  • The direction of passing can be clockwise or counterclockwise.
  • More and more balls are added.
  • When the ball hits the ground, players must walk to the edge of the field and back again before being allowed to continue.
  • The ball must be thrown with the left hand to the left and with the right hand to the right.
  • If it is too easy, one-handed catching is possible if necessary.

With 1 hand, penalty throw, through ball while running with the ball.
  • One player starts under the basket with a ball.
  • The rest of the team stands around the basket at shot distance.
  • The playmaker throws to someone, who tries to score.
  • The playmaker catches/ fetches the ball.
  • If scored, the scoring person becomes the playmaker.
  • After each shot, another random player gets the ball and tries to score.
  • Two players have two pawns between them in two different colors.
  • Number the pawns 1 and 2 or to a color, for example, red and white.
  • Players put the pawns between each other and plank.
  • When the coach calls out a color or number, as quickly as possible hand on it.
  • The player who is first wins, best of 5.
  • Winners move one way, losers the other.
Work in pairs of 3. If a task fails, walk around the box and do the task again. Just until you finish.
Which group finishes first?

  • 10 shots from 5 meters - score 5x.
  • 10 shots from behind the basket at 4 meters - score 5x.

  • When the trainer/trainer calls GO!, everyone starts rolling the balls to the other side.
  • Whoever has the fewest balls in their field after 3 minutes has won.
  • At trainer's signal, both players start sprinting.
