Korfballexercises for technique warming-up

  • the attacker is only allowed to get free by a sideways movement in front of the basket, so no depth may be created!

  • Baskets in a square, gentlemen first under the basket with the ball.
  • Ladies in the middle.
  • After a shot or a walkthrough ball, the players must always go through the middle to the next post (players are not allowed to hit the same post twice).
  • The ticker tries to tap someone.
  • If he taps someone on the shoulder, the person has to hold his shoulder and start tapping.
  • Before you get tapped, you have to name a TV show.
  • Then you're free.
  • If you are tapped, you must stand with your legs spread and then the others can crawl under you.
  • Then you are free again.
  • Sprinting competition.
  • The ladies against each other and the boys against each other.

  • This player throws the ball to the cone where he came from, to player 3 and joins the other cone.
  • In case of threes, the pair starts without the ball.
  • The player with the ball plays the ball with two hands to the player at the other cone, runs after the ball and joins the players at that cone.
  • A simple and recognizable exercise.
  • Developing speed from the throw is a possible point of attention to keep these exercises attractive for older players.
  • Players stand in different groups at the pole and get a shooting assignment.
  • E.g. score 3 times in a row without missing from 5 metres.
  • The player who has done this can come to the middle and say higher or lower with his row of cards.
  • This exercise is repeated until someone has finished his row of cards.
  • In case of a wrong guess, the card is replaced by a spare card.


  • The teacher sets out three areas of approximately equal size with pawns.
  • It is best to use the volleyball lines (see map).
  • There are three sections (see map):
  • Left: barons square (losers square)
  • Centre: princes section (neutral section)
  • Right: king of the court (winner section)
  • All students stand in the middle section.
  • With a signal from the teacher the game starts.
  • All pupils have to try to tap/strike the ball of another pupil out of the box.
  • If you succeed you move one square to the right.
  • If your ball is knocked away you move up one square to the left.
  • If you hit/tap someone's ball out of the box on the right you score a point.
  • If your ball is knocked out of the winner's box you lose all your points.
  • If your ball is knocked out of the left box nothing happens and you stay standing.
  • When the teacher gives the final signal the person with the most points is king of the court and he/she has won.

  • 2 x 2 different tickers
  • Complete team:
    • One person is the ticker, and must tick off everyone.
    • The other people have 2 balls at their disposal which they can pass around.
    • You may not be tagged at the moment you have the ball in your hands. D
    • When the ball is in your hands, you have to throw the ball to the person who is being tapped.
    • Of course, you are not allowed to hold the ball endlessly.
