Soccerexercises for u9

  • The team stands ready in 2 groups behind a pawn. 
  • They are given an exercise by the trainer and do it 1x.  On the way back they run back and close behind. 
  • 2 players run at the same time. The next one leaves when the pair has passed the first hat. 
  • Exercises:

    1. Jogging 

    2. Knee-up

    3. Heel-to-belly

    4. Sideways left 

    5. Sideways right 

    6. Arms swing front

    7. Arms swing back

    8. Jump over caps with 2 feet at the same time

    9. Sprint to cap and back 

    10. Shoulder thrust and sprint

  • The players form 3 groups
  • 2 players stand by 1 pilon and the other opposite.
  • The first of the two players receives the balls and plays the player across from her right in the feet. Then this one sprints to the player and stands by the pilon. 
  • The other takes the ball and plays the ball to the one opposite.  
  • This repeats itself.
  • Because they work in 3 pairs, they are nice and active. 
  • Variation:
  • There is dribbling with the ball at the foot.
  • The exercise was mainly done to learn to move on after a pass.
  • So pass and walk on.
  • This in combination with crosses and finishing makes it a nice exercise for the boys (7-8 years) and useful as a match situation (also without resistance).
    • 1 player red passes to blue player and runs towards the corner.
    • 2 Player blue rebounds in the depth towards the corner.
    • 3 Player red passes to incoming player blue.
    • Player blue finishes off the ball.

Points of attention

  • Good pass in.
  • Get in the ball before the handover.
  • Handover in the deep.
  • Do not run in too early when finishing.

  • Two teams.
  • Players leave together and dribble around pots.
  • At the last game turn completely around and go 1 against 1 and try to finish.
  • After finishing, defender becomes goalkeeper, striker becomes defender and goalkeeper takes ball and joins in for the exercise.

  • 2 players at 7m from each other.
  • One player works and goes left and right to get the ball and pass.
  • After the pass walk backwards to the cone and then forward to the other side.
  • Change after 3 minutes.
  • Variation;
    • Play in 1 go, increase distance, how many times in 2 minutes?

  • On a field of 10m by 15m one defender stands in the middle.
  • The other players stand on the sideline with a ball.
  • When given a sign, these players try to get to the other side with the ball.
  • The defender in the middle tries to take the ball and kick it outside the field, at that moment the attacker also becomes a defender.
  • Continue like this until there is only 1 person left.

  • Each team along the side .
  • At the sign of the trainer, the first player of each team is going to get a ball and bring it to their camp.
  • There is one ball less than the number of players, so the last one must try to take a ball.
  • Field 15m+1m+15m on5m,
    • In addition, a cone 5m from the centre on each side.

  • 2 teams in a field of 10m by 15m .
  • Players try to play after each other
    • 10x without the ball falling or touching the opponent.
  • If opponent touches ball, count again,
  • If the ball falls or is caught by the opponent, it is for the opponent.

    • 1 gives corner kick short to 2
    • 2 passes (1 runs to the back, 3 does a front-movement to the outside)

  • Player runs in and kicks goal
  • Fetch balls after everyone has kicked

  • Penalty kicks
  • 5 minutes practicing and working on technique (if needed)
  • 10 minutes take turns kicking, most scored wins
  • If  there's no goalkeeper, small goal in big goal
  • Trainer keeps score

  • On the left, 3 jars (white) are set 10 feet apart (first jar 10 feet from the line).
  • On the right 3 jars (blue) are put, again with 10 feet in between, but these start on the line.
  • We make so 3 streets, exercises are executed in the street and they'll be connected again via the zebra crossing (space between the streets).
  • Walking direction white caps is with left foot, walking direction blue caps is with right foot
Exercises
  • Tap tap stop (same foot)
  • Tap stop (not from jar to jar but straight through the street), alternate feet and try to tap as much as possible

For the better players this can be extended with
  • Tap behind supporting leg
  • Tap the crossover
  • Tap tap scissors
  • Tap tap Cruyff move

This exercise can be used in every training as a warming up.
