Organisation
  • Form trios. The first trio lies on their stomachs behind the 7-metre line. The trainer stands with a ball cart on the other side of the net.
Execution
  • The trainer claps on the ball and plays it directly over the net. Players must quickly stand up and return the ball over the net in a maximum of three contacts. The trainer can determine the level of difficulty.
Formation

  • Create a virtual line with four cones where they must stand behind.
  • The coach stands on the other side of the net.
Execution
  • The coach throws the ball somewhere in the court.
  • One of the two front players in the lines calls "MINE" or "I GOT IT" (agree beforehand).
  • The player who calls it passes the ball to position 2 or 3.

Objective

  • The aim is to tactically place or hit the ball.

Execution

  • Use tip balls at the middle position or hit the ball deep to position 1.
  • Place hoops to simulate a constant block, which can later be replaced by an actual block.
  • Replace cones at position 1 with a box over which the ball must fall, over the 'defender'.
  • The coach hits or plays a ball in, which is first passed to the setter.
  • The setter provides a set-up to the outside.
  • The attacker chooses either a short tip ball to the middle position (where a hoop is placed) or aims for position 1 with a hit or quick overhead ball.
Execution
  • Begin in an upright position.
  • Bring your hands to the ground while keeping your legs straight.
  • Walk forward with small steps using your hands until you can go no further.
  • Then move your feet towards your hands, using only your ankles for small steps.
  • Repeat these movements several times.
Setup
  • Line up attackers and blockers at the 3-meter line.
Execution
  • The coach plays a rally ball to attacker 1.
  • Blocker 4 moves to the net.
  • Attacker 1 passes to the setter and calls where he wants the set-up (left, middle, or right).
  • The blocker follows the attacker and attempts to block.
  • The attacker retrieves the ball and joins the back of his own line.
Switch
  • If the attackers score 10 times, attackers and blockers switch roles.
Execution
  • Place a mat randomly in each court.
  • A group is ready to serve on both sides.
  • Serve the ball onto the mat.
  • Follow your ball and join the line on the opposite side.
  • Try to hit the mat as often as possible.
Objective
  • Players should try to stand as close to the backline as possible.
  • If they are unsuccessful, they may stand closer to the net.
Execution
  • Estimate the ball trajectory.
  • Shuffle backwards.
  • Stand still and position shoulders correctly.
  • Pass accurately to the catcher.
Setup
  • 3 players stand at the net or on the 3-metre line.
  • 1 player acts as the catcher.
Progression
  • The trainer serves the ball.
  • Players shuffle backwards and pass the ball to the catcher at position 2/3.
  • The catcher catches the ball and places it in the bin.
  • The passer becomes the new catcher, and the empty spot is filled by another player.
