Volleyballexercises for u17

  • In the field are all hoops in strategic places. In places where in the match the best service can be made.
  • One person of the pair stands in a hoop, the other serves.
  • If the person in the hoop can catch the ball -may not step out of the hoop-, the hoop may be taken away. This counts as a point.
  • After each service there is an exchange.
  • Trainer stands on a cabinet section at position 2 or 4.
  • Trainer throws up a ball and hits/pins a ball into the court where there is a team lineup.
  • Goal is to defend these balls and take over the rally.
  • We play sets to the 15, where scoring directly from the defense scores 2 points and scoring the ball in the rally -through an opponent's mistake or otherwise- scores 1 point.
  • On the opposite side is a trio. These three players defend and attack from behind 3 meters.
2 teams -2 touch

2 teams play against each other. Teams may only:
  • Play ball underhand.
  • Play ball overhand.
  • Play push/puncture ball.
  • Do not smash!
Initial goal: keep the ball in play.
Variation goal: competition, make it as difficult as possible for each other. Run on everything, react, dive.

2-team OH overplaying. Control, high balls, get ready low.
From movement:
  • After OH move left and right. First to left, then back to right.

drawing Warming up with ball at a quick pace
Attack, DIAGONAL, applies to everyone:
  • Full smash or good tight push ball.
  • And/or far ball into the backfield.
1. Attack diagonal.
  • Player 1 in position 5 throws the ball towards 2/3.
  • Player 2 at position 1 runs towards 2/3 and provides a set-up for the attacker coming from position 5. attack is at position 4/3.
  • Attacker retrieves the ball, setter moves into group position 5.
2. Same with a defender.
  • This defender really has to do everything possible to get the ball somehow anyway.
  • Defender gets the ball and joins the group of setters, attacker becomes defender, setter becomes attacker.
3. Same but with 2 defenders.

4. Same but with 2 defenders and a blocker. Fixed group of 3.
  • Blocker comes from position 3.
  • They can switch between blocker/defender positions.
  • Swap after a certain number of balls.
5. Same but with fixed setter.
  • This means that the group at position 1 disappears. Fixed group of 3.
  • Blocker comes from position 3.
  • These may switch positions blocker/defender among themselves.
6. Same but with fixed setter, 2 defenders, 2 blockers. Fixed group of 4.
  • These may switch positions.
  • A plays to SV.
  • SV runs in to 2/3 and gives set to TR.
  • TR attacks A and A defends to SV.
  • After this to position 5 to defend a short ball which B throws in.
Turn as follows:
  • A retrieves the ball and joins B.
  • B goes to SV position on 3 meter line.
  • SV off defending ball from A and goes to position 1.
drawing 2 defense fitness and willpower
  • Two balls and 4 groups.
  • A and D play across and C and B also where the net players play BH and the eight-field players play OA.
  • After playing B go to A. From A go to D, from D go to C and back to B again.
drawing Playing with a lot of movement and control
Players perform some running forms via pawns:
  • 2 forward, 1 backward.
  • Ditto, sideways.
  • Lateral movement "through" the pawns.
  • Knee lifts over the pawns.
  • Jumping over the pawns.

  • Then blocking in the middle.
  • The one who stepped out to the left blocks along on the middle and then joint movement to the outside to set a block in pairs.
  • Stepping out to the right and blocking in pairs on the outside.
  1. Pairs: the one at the net has the ball, the other player starts on the three-meter line.
    1. Ball is bounced on the ground and then thrown immediately towards 6 meters.
    2. On the bounce, the person who is going to pass may move.
    3. Move quickly, get behind the ball and deliver good pass.
  2. Again the pairs: the one at the net has the ball, the other player starts on the three-meter line.
    1. The ball is thrown with a bounce.
    2. As a result, the ball can also come left or right, so it must be moved not only backwards, but also sideways.
  3. Again the pairs: the one at the net has the ball, the other player starts on the three-meter line.
    1. Now the ball is thrown up and bounced, so it must be defended.
    2. When the ball is thrown up, it may be moved.
    3. Both hitting and poking are allowed.
  1. Trainer serves on 2 passers: passer/runner and libero.
    1. Player is ahead and has a choice of attackers at 1, 3 and 4.
    2. Opposite these are 3 blockers.
    3. Player at position 4 "blocks" on the playmaker and blocks supportively on the middle.
    4. If the attack goes to position 1, the blockers in position 3 and 4 jointly move outside.
    5. The service may be followed by a rally ball and over time a match can be played between attackers and blockers.
  2. Same as 1. only now the playmaker is behind.
    1. Blockers face the attacker 1 on 1.
    2. Player in position 4 therefore does not block along the middle.
