Volleyballexercises for u20

  • Groups of 2
  • Keeping the ball in play
  • After the ball is over the net
  • Connect behind the line on the other side
  • On one side of the net a team formation.
  • On the other side a row of attackers.
  • Trainer with ball carrier on the 2/3
  • Attack on pos 5.
    • Ball is defended and returned in 3 times.
    • If not, the attackers get 1 point.
  • At 10 points for the attackers, a new team formation.
  • Practice setup underhand because of emergency balls or ill fitting balls.
  • The trainer throws the balls to player 2 who plays the ball underhand to the right front.
  • Player 1 walks to this position and gives an underhand setup on the outside where player 2 attacks.
  • After this action player 1 goes to position of player 2 and player 3 comes to position of player 1. etc.
  • The attackers get the balls themselves and put them back in the ballcar.
  • When the pass is going well you can increase the pace so that the exercise continues and people do not have to wait too long.

  • Divide the group into pairs
  • Each side has 2 mats on the ground

Different assignments:
  • Feet sit
  • Lift knees
  • Blocks on the net
  • Sideways movements
  • Zorba
  • Diving
  • Back roll

  • Team divides into two groups; A on p5 and B on p2.
  • The team is going to play back and forth, after the pass they walk around the pawn to the other group to be able to play the ball there again.

  • Start with shorter distance and 1x for yourself and then play backhand.
  • More difficult to make a block after the pass and a dive in the back.
  • You can also take out 1x for yourself to speed up the pace.

  • pass to 2/3 --> discard
ROTATION
  • Server --> other side waiting room (defence) --> passer --> returner --> returner --> serve

EXTENSION
  • Instead of the off-side defender a fixed SV --> passer attacks own ball
  • Attacker --> serve
  • SV stays put (do change)

  • Divide the group into pairs
    • Of which 1 pair stands the other side (serve)
  • 1st team is ready for the pass.
    • After the serve the first server goes to the other side,
    • After the serve the 2nd server joins the 1st server across the court.
  • Defenders: build an attack, ball should be in threes
  • The pair that did the defense/attack --> serve
  • Etc

  • Steady ball in for incoming pass
  • Who chooses to attack,
  • 3 blockers

  • After handing in the ball, defend according to the blocker's signal.

    • Street, slide far & slide short (net)
