Basketball drills for technique warming-up

  • Make 2 teams.
  • Each team stands ready on one side of the field on the back line.
  • Put as many balls as players on both the 3-meter lines.
  • When the trainer/trainer calls GO!, everyone starts rolling the balls to the other side.
  • Whoever has the fewest balls in their field after 3 minutes has won.

Players gather on the right or left side of the center line.
The first two have a ball.
There are two catchers under the basket.
From the center line you dribble to the basket and make a lay-up.
The catcher catches the ball and passes it to the next player in line.
You do this until you have scored 15 times and then you change sides.

  • Starting position:
    • 1 group near the center line, right
    • 1 group a few meters behind the center line, middle
    • Ball in the middle
  • Progression:
    • Player 1 dribbles in 2 dribbles to the three-point line
    • Player 1 passes to player 2 who runs along
    • Player 2 does a layup
    • Player 1 takes the rebound and makes an outlet pass to player 2 who runs through
    • Player 2 connects in the middle
    • Player 1 connects on the right
  • Progression:

  • Outward, the classic weave is run.
  • Back, the weave is run up to the center line.
  • The next 3 players ready to run the weave catch the current 3 players half court and a 3 versus 3 situation is created from which a score must always be scored.
  • After the score, the newest 3 players run the weave and the next 3 will catch these players half court for a 3 versus 3.
