Handballexercises for u9

  • 2 teams, 1 without a goalie.
  • Attacking team sets up near the line on its own half.
  • Defending team in front of the circle.
  • As soon as the offensive team crosses the line the defensive team goes on the attack.
  • Each intercepted ball is a point.
  • A goal is also a point :-)
  • Make sure the defenders do not stay glued to the circle, but play 1 on 1.
Everyone gets a ball, dribbles and tries to get each other's "tails" (less than the number of players).
  • 4 lines, 2 bigger middle squares, 2 smaller back squares (comparable with beach lines)
  • 2 teams stand in the middle squares and try to throw each other off
  • If you are hit, you walk to the backfield and try to hit an opponent from there
    • If you succeed, you can go back again
  • Winner is the team that throws another team out of the centre square
  • Trainer stands somewhat to the left of the circle
  • Have a mark near the circle, and from starting position on 9 meter line to the middle of the circle
  • Player throws ball to trainer
    • walks to mark 1
    • walks backwards to the start position
    • walks via line to circle and shoots (possibly with goalkeeper)
  • Set out dribble route with hats, with lots of corners.
  • Then pass the ball to the trainer
    • Pass the ball back and shoot at the pawn in the goal.
    • You pick up the ball and throw it to the other side (there is also a goal, a ball will be put there for you).
    • Then with sideways-closing movement via cones-circuit to the next goal.
    • And so around

  • Depending on the size of the group, players will dribble within 6 or 9 metres
  • There are 2 dribbling taggers
  • The one who is tagged 'freezes' and stands with his legs wide open
  • When another player plays the ball between your legs, you are free again
  • Vary number of tappers
  • Throwing over, pay attention to correct posture, elbow at shoulder height, left in front, etc.
  • Throwing over with a running motion (left-right-left)
  • Throwing over with the left side
  • Throwing over behind the back
  • Always aim for the right (catching) hand. Catch with 2 hands
  • Via the ground

From the E:
  • Throwing over with jump shot
  • Passing underhand
  • Lateral pass
  • Passing with an attacking move, i.e. a few steps towards the goal, passing and backwards again.
There is a goalkeeper in the goal, players line up in the middle, or at the corners, dribble to the 9 yards, and shoot:
  • Running shot
  • Jump shot
  • Underhand
  • Via ground
  • In the middle are a number of 'sharks' dribbling.
  • In the corners of the field are different types of fish.
  • When your fish is called, you dribble in a circle around the sharks.
  • When the trainer calls out 'the sharks are coming', the sharks try to tap the fish.
  • The fish dribble away as fast as possible.
  • If you are tagged, you become a shark.
  1. Bench in front of the goal on place 5 meter circle
    • Run with your left onto the bench, jump off with your left and shoot at goal
  2. Shooting balls off the pawns
  3. Shooting at goal, with goalkeeper
  • The player stands at about 10 meters from the goal
  • Throws the ball to the trainer
  • Runs to the circle
  • There the trainer throws the ball again and the player shoots at a pawn in the goal
  • There are 4 pawns in a row, with a ball on top
  • The player tries to throw the ball from the pawn from 4 metres
  • There are 3 lines, marked with hats
  • 2 Teams stand on opposite sides of the center line and try to hit each other
  • If you are hit, you walk to the line behind the opponent
  • If you succeed in hitting an opponent, you may return to the line behind him.
  • The team that has all players on the backline loses.
