Handballexercises for technique warming-up

  • Throwing over, pay attention to correct posture, elbow at shoulder height, left in front, etc.

  • Both sides start with a medicine ball in extended arms stepping out onto the pawns.

  • When you have had the whole bench you take three steps and shoot at goal.
  • Quickly get the ball again and then jump into the hoops with two legs in each hoop.
  • Then shoot at goal again and get the ball.

Everyone gets a ball, dribbles and tries to get each other's "tails" (less than the number of players).
  • 4 lines, 2 bigger middle squares, 2 smaller back squares (comparable with beach lines)
  • 2 teams stand in the middle squares and try to throw each other off
  • If you are hit, you walk to the backfield and try to hit an opponent from there
    • If you succeed, you can go back again
  • Winner is the team that throws another team out of the centre square
  • Trainer stands somewhat to the left of the circle
  • Have a mark near the circle, and from starting position on 9 meter line to the middle of the circle
  • Player throws ball to trainer
    • walks to mark 1
    • walks backwards to the start position
    • walks via line to circle and shoots (possibly with goalkeeper)
  • Set out dribble route with hats, with lots of corners.
  • Then pass the ball to the trainer
    • Pass the ball back and shoot at the pawn in the goal.
    • You pick up the ball and throw it to the other side (there is also a goal, a ball will be put there for you).
    • Then with sideways-closing movement via cones-circuit to the next goal.

  • Swing arms from behind on the left to behind on the right - with a turned in leg
  • Dribble on the front foot - turn right arm forward and backward, idem on the left
  • Dribble (follow arm movement) - accelerate - stop - and dribble again
  • Dribble (follow arm movements) - accelerate - stop with a wider step - and dribble calmly again
  • Dribble with left and right alternately - always on the front foot
  • Break
  • Shoulder mobility:
    • T - stand angled forward, arms in T sideways with thumbs up - 5 times
    • W - arms extended downwards - arms angled upwards - backwards - 5 times
    • Y - arms spread downwards - thumbs up - arms up in Y shape
    • A - arms back - thumbs up - move forward
  • Depending on the size of the group, players will dribble within 6 or 9 metres
  • There are 2 dribbling taggers

Play with a good bouncing ball (hard handball/ goalcha ball/ beach handball/ tennis ball/ volleyball etc.)
Rules:

  1. You may only touch the ball with your body (arms/legs/feet/head) 2x in a row. After that you may not touch it again until another player has touched the ball.
  2. You may therefore both play football and hit the ball
  3. If you touch the ball a 3rd time, the ball is for the opponent (free ball)
Goal:
  • Try to score on 1 of the goals
  • Scored? Ball for the opponent
Extension/variation:
  • Play 2 or 3 balls at the same time (depending on the size of the group)
    • Link rules to the different balls
      • Example: football only heading, handball only playing with your foot etc.
  • Vary the places where the goals are placed (mat/duck out/advertising board).
  • Vary the number of places where goals can be scored
  • Keeping arms forward
    • Small rotation with clenched fist
      • Do not overextend
  • Jog quietly across the field
    • Arms forward
    • Backwards
    • Turn against each other
  • Arms crossed wide in front of the chest
    • Alternating between up and down
  • Arms wide and turn small circles

Relay
  • 2 Groups stand in a row next to each other
  • Starting point and ending point are marked with a pawn
  • The player in front of the group rolls the ball backwards between all legs.
  • All players where the ball has passed, lie down as quickly as possible
  • The player in the back jumps over the players, connects and rolls the ball backwards again
  • Important: Every player who has jumped over gets up again
The first group to cross the line wins.
