Hockeyexercises for technique passing

  1. A plays the ball to B.
  2. B runs in and takes the ball strongly.
  3. B plays the ball back to A.
  4. C runs up and gets a cross ball from A.
  5. B has run around the pawn and passes to the post.
  6. C passes a ball on the tip.
  7. B tips the ball into the goal.

  1. Player A passes the pawns.
  2. Passes hard and cleanly to player B.
  3. A runs away from B.
  4. B passes to A and the latter takes to the run.
  5. Brings into the circle and rounds.
Points of attention:
  • Fast, hard and clean passing.
  • Takeover in the run.
  • Keep speed.
Possibly extend with a defender in the circle.

Attention:
  • Short tight passes.
  • 2 touches: assumption, pass.
  • Last player makes passing move and completes.
  • Passing behind ball, getting off at fault.

With 3 players run up, pass and finish.

  • Blue passes to red, runs after ball and connects behind red.
  • Red passes to white, runs after ball and connects behind white.
  • White passes to blue, runs behind ball and connects behind blue.
  • And so on.
  • The one with the ball on the edge of the circle rounds off.

A one-two in depth with quick passes and finishing at high pace:

  • Player A plays towards player B.
  • A runs deep towards the first pawn -running line-.
  • B passes back to A and runs deep towards the circle -short quick action-.
  • A passes back to B.
  • B takes on the forehand and spins away over the opponent's backhand -pawn-.
  • C sprints in towards head of circle -timing-.
  • B passes towards C possibly with the backhand sweep pass.
  • C takes on, brings the ball into the circle and rounds. 2 actions, ball under control and round off.

  1. Choose 1 warm-up exercise from the warm-up exercises.
  2. Flats out of the run:
    1. Drive the ball toward the pawn.
    2. Get them to shoot the ball at the goal with flats. Do this without stopping the ball. 
      If this is still too difficult, have them stop the ball first.
  3. Loafing:
    1. Put 1 player in the middle and 3 players at the pawns.
    2. They are going to pass to each other.
    3. The player with the ball must always have 2 passing options.
    4. So other players should run to the other pawn so that those play-off opportunities are there.
      Start with that the loafer can only intercept the ball if a pass is given, then 
      you can also have the loafer take the ball away if a player gives the ball.

    1. A starts with the ball and floats forward and pushes the ball through the gate.
    2. B has run along and receives the ball.
    3. B floats forward with the ball and plays the ball through the gate again.
    4. A receives the ball and scores with a flats on the goal
  3. Run and play the ball:
    1. A gives the ball, B points left or right.
    2. A then floats with the ball to that pawn and circles it and floats back to his starting pawn.
    3. A then push the ball to B.
    4. B then does the same thing.
  4. Play a match.

  2. Charging and Indian dribble:
