Hockey drills

  • Team blue starts in a 2:1 where one of the players must leave the square running.
  • If this is successful it becomes a 5:4.
  • A 2nd ball follows from the trainer.

  • In the two squares, there is loitering.
  • Taking turns, the blue ones from the square attack, creating a 4-on-3.
  • When this attack is over, they go back to their square and loaf.
  • Then the other square starts attacking.

  • B runs towards the 23 where it receives a ball in the run from A
  • B runs through the pawn lines to the circle and hits the goal
  • C runs towards the 23 where he receives a ball in the run from A
  • C continues behind the last pawn lines towards the circle and hits the goal

  • Defenders step into the field
  • C starts the 3 on 2
  • after the 3-on-2, D starts with a new ball which makes the 4-on-2 start

  • A and B float to the other side of the square.
  • Here they play over again 5 times, with 2 balls at the same time.
  • A and B float back to the starting point and leave their ball there.
  • Both players now sprint back and forth to the 23 meter line and back.
  • Both players pick up the ball again, drift towards the circle and finish on goal.

  1. A plays the ball to B.
  2. B runs in and takes the ball strongly.
  3. B plays the ball back to A.
  4. C runs up and gets a cross ball from A.
  5. B has run around the pawn and passes to the post.
  6. C passes a ball on the tip.
  7. B tips the ball into the goal.

  1. Player A passes the pawns.
  2. Passes hard and cleanly to player B.
  3. A runs away from B.
  4. B passes to A and the latter takes to the run.
  5. Brings into the circle and rounds.
Points of attention:
  • Fast, hard and clean passing.
  • Takeover in the run.
  • Keep speed.
Possibly extend with a defender in the circle.

Put out as many times as there are players:
  • Each player has their own pawn.
  • They play 1-1 with the person opposite them.
  • The ball is in the middle.
  • At the whistle, they start trying to tap the other person's pawn.
  • After a certain time, blow the whistle.
  • Player who won moves one space to the right on the loser 1 to the left.
  • In case of a tie; stone paper scissors.

  • Player A runs toward balls.
  • Players B and C towards field of play.
  • Player A takes the ball out -saves in.
  • Players B and C offer themselves, being covered by the two defenders.
  • Player A may make a selfpass.
  • Attackers score in the big goal.
  • Defenders if they get the ball, score in goal X.
Areas of focus are: quick take, offering, run and play lines, tackleback.
