Korfballexercises for technique warming-up
- Poles in triangle:
- At each basket, one player with a ball (fixed pointer).
- The other players in the middle at the 2 hoops.
- From the center, take a walk-through ball on one of the baskets.
- You may never go to the same post twice in a row.
- You always go to the next pole by putting your foot in one of the hoops.
- Goal is to score 3 times as fast as possible.
- If you succeed, you stand in one of the hoops. (This hoop may not be used anymore by the others to walk to the next basket).
- The first 2 players who stand in the hoops will play the final.
- They have to score a runthrough with one hand.
- The winner is the one who is first back in the hoop after a goal.
- He/she earns one point.
- Then switch players and start again.
- Halfway through the exercise, switch to dodge balls.
- Lay out a rectangle (16x8 meters? Depending on the number of players).
- Divide into equal parts by a center line.
- Divide the group into 2 teams, each with their field.
- The goal is to eliminate the opposing players.
- The ball must not touch the ground first, the 'defending' player is not out if he/she can catch the ball.
- Round 1:
- The player who has been eliminated may re-enter the field if someone else from his/her team was eliminated.
- Round 2:
- The player who was thrown out may re-enter the field when he/she has scored 4 times.
- Round 3:
- Same as the previous one, but now the eliminated player is placed behind the opposing team's field, and may try to pass from there.
- If a previously thrown out player can hit someone from the back, he/she may be placed in the main field again.
Four sets:
- Ladder:
- 3 foot contacts per section
- Walk backwards to start position
- Ladder:
- Shuffle (2 foot contacts in, 1 foot contact out)
- Jump from a standing position over the hurdle
- Ladder:
- Same as previous but backwards + jump from standing, at landing immediately change in short sprint
- Ladder:
- Sideways with 2 foot contacts, knees high (alternate left-right every time)
- Lunges at a slow pace back
- Ladder:
- 2 feet together 2 forward, 1 backward
- Sideways low position to starting point (change direction of view every sequence)
- One ball each: Ladder:
- 3 foot contacts ball above head
- Slowly walk back and at the same time move the ball around the waist
- One ball each: Ladder:
- Rebound 1 contact per section with ball around waist (change leg every series)
- Pump 4 times on ball
Ideally in pairs at the basket:
- Collect pots (for 3 posts 10 pots, for 4 posts 13 pots) in the middle when the tasks are completed (continue until there are no more pots, there will be no staking on other posts)
Tasks: (take chances in turns)
- Score 8 consecutive runs together
- Score 3 consecutive runs together
- First together 4 runners score, then together 4 shots (from movement) from about 6 meter
- First together 4 runners score, then together 4 shots from 4 meter behind the basket (from movement)
- First each player scores 1 runner, then each player scores 2 penalty shots.
- First each 1 runner scores, and then each 4 short chances under the basket
- Training condition with 4 teams
- You stay with your team on your own side.
- Leaders change sides so that everyone stays in motion.
- The intention is that the exercise is done with high intensity.
- Start in front of the pawns. After pion 5 in sprint to the first basket.
- Rebound sprints to the second basket.
- Rebounder second basket joins again with the pawns.
- Count the scores per team
- Count out loud with your team, to keep the competition element in it.
- Round 1:
- Score 20 balls. (pawn exercises = slalom)
- Round 2:
- 10 shots 3-4m scoring. (Pawn exercise = 2 pawns forward, 1 pawn backwards)
- Round 3:
- Score 20 short chances behind the post. The sprinter is indicated and he plays back to the rebounder who stepped out from under the post (pawn exercise = hopping over the pawns).
- Round 4:
- Scoring 10 shots 4-5m. (Pawn exercise = skating over the pawns, holding landing).
- Round 5:
- Score 10 evasive balls. (pawn exercise jumping up at pawns 1, 3 and 5 and squat at 2 3n 4)
- Place a number of hoops in the terrain.
- Divide the group into two teams.
- A team can earn a point by playing a player who has at least one foot in a hoop at the moment the ball is in their possession.
- You may never play to the same hoop twice in a row.
- Start with an ordinary ball, then use a tennis ball.
The objective of this exercise is to collect the vests before being knocked off by a soft ball.
- Three cones in a triangle, on each cone lies a vest.
- The other players form a circle around the cones, making it wide enough.
- The player must collect all the vests, the others must try to hit them with the ball(s) before all the vests are collected.
- When a player is hit by the ball, he changes with a player from the outfield.
- As trainer, decide whether to play with 1 or 2 balls. It is easier for a player to grab the caps if they are playing with one ball.
- The distance between the cones on which the vests lie can be increased or decreased. The greater the distance between the pawns, the more difficult it is for the player to grasp the vests.
- As trainer, make sure that players do not hit the ball too hard or from too little distance!
Organisation
: Two (or three) players per post. One player with ball in front of the basket at 7 meters.

- The player under the basket pulls away
- The ball is thrown to him (if the set-up is right, he receives the ball a bit diagonally).
- The player in front of the basket comes next to him.
- And makes a shot.
- Same as above
- Only now the player in front of the basket comes alongside again.
- And makes a through ball from the space without the ball.
- Same thing,
- Only now there is no walkthrough,
- But there is a threat for the walkthrough.
- And the player without the ball runs long (away from the puller and parallel to the basket)
- And takes the shot.
- same,
- Only now the shooter runs long again
- And after walking the long line, comes through for the walkthrough ball without the ball.
Correcting for
: Shooting the right leg, shooting in line with the basket, good placement, shoulder to the basket when shooting.

- The blue lady under the post passes a through ball to the front of the basket.
- The red lady from the right catches the ball and hands it to the red lady from the opposite side.
- Then the blue lady at the back of the pile intercepts and passes the ball to the first attacker.
- In this exercise blue and red are walking the same line.
