Soccerexercises for technique condition
Field Setup
- 2 x 4 x 2 cones or markers set up next to each other to form two lanes.
- Players pass the ball precisely through the lane of cones or markers and sprint after it.
- Another player (white) receives the ball and dribbles to the other lane.
- There, this player repeats the action towards player 3.
- Player 3 starts again at the same place as player 1.
- The ball must go through the lane of cones or markers.
- If a cone is hit, the player must sprint to set the cone upright and do three push-ups at the end.
- The ball must pass all the cones before the receiving player can take the ball and dribble to the other position.
Walk Straight Forward
- Jog to the last cone. Keep your upper body upright. Hips, knees, and feet should form a line. Do not let your knees buckle inward. Run slightly faster on the way back. Repeat the exercise twice.
- Jog to the first cone. Stop and bring your knee forward and upward. Rotate your knee outward and place your foot down. Keep your pelvis horizontal and your upper body still. Repeat with the other leg. Jog back after the course. Repeat the exercise twice.
- Jog to the first cone. Stop and bring your knee sideways upward. Rotate your knee inward and place your foot down. Keep your pelvis horizontal and your upper body still. Repeat with the other leg. Jog back after the course. Repeat the exercise twice.
- Jog to the first cone. Shuffle sideways to your partner. Circle around each other without changing your direction of view. Slightly bend your hips and knees. Shift your body weight to the balls of your feet. Jog back after the course. Repeat the exercise twice.
- Jog to the first cone. Shuffle sideways to your partner. Jump towards each other in the middle for shoulder contact. Land on both feet with bent hips and knees. Shuffle back to the first cone. Jog to the next cone and repeat. Jog back after the course. Repeat the exercise twice.
- Run quickly to the second cone. Run backward to the first cone. Keep hips and knees slightly bent. Run two cones forward and one back each time. Jog back after the course. Repeat the exercise twice.
Execution
- Divide your team into four groups of four players, each with one ball.
- Players pass the ball around within their team in the designated area.
- Players must remain in constant motion with frequent changes of pace to find space.
- Each team should attempt to maintain a diamond shape.
- Communication is essential; players must call for the ball and shout the name of the teammate to whom they are passing.
- Passes must be precise, either into the space or to the feet of the teammate.
- Players must not touch each other, and the balls must not collide.
- This exercise requires great attentiveness from the players.
- Add a passive defender who can defend any ball.
- Add an active defender who is allowed to win the ball.
Execution
- Sprint from cone to cone.
- At each cone, perform a task:
- Task 1: Perform one push-up.
- Task 2: Sit down and quickly stand up again.
- Task 3: Jump as if heading a football.
- Many variations are possible.
Execution
- Mark out an area of 30 by 40 metres.
- Assign each player a number.
- Players pass in numerical order: from player 1 to player 2, to player 3, and so on, while moving through the area.
- Use 2-3 balls to increase speed and awareness.
- Ensure players move throughout the entire area and do not just stand close to the players they need to pass to.
- Players must call for the ball when it is their turn and shout the name of the player they are going to pass to.
- Have players perform specific actions when making a pass, for example: play the ball into the run.
- The receiving player must accelerate.
- The odd numbers may only touch the ball once, the even numbers twice.
- Alternate these rules.
Execution
- Player 1 passes the ball to Player 2.
- Player 2 dribbles around the cones and passes at the end to Player 3.
- Player 3 returns the ball to Player 2.
- Player 2 finishes with a shot on goal.
- Player 3 retrieves the ball and takes the position of Player 1.
- Player 1 moves to the position of Player 2.
- Player 2 moves to the position of Player 3.
Description
- The taggers attempt to tag a player with their hands.
- Once a player is tagged, they must stand still with their legs spread apart.
- The player can be 'freed' if another player who is not tagged crawls under them.
- Switch taggers after a certain period of time.
- Dependent on age and skill level.
- Length: 30-40 metres.
- Width: 20-25 metres.
Execution
- Pass the ball and move quickly.
Execution
- Player 1 begins by dribbling along five cones.
- Player 1 then passes to Player 2 who is waiting at a cone.
- Player 2 returns the ball to Player 1.
- Player 1 finishes with a shot on goal.
- Player 2 retrieves the ball and joins the end of the line.
- Player 1 takes position at the cone to receive the next pass.
Setup
- Place three cones as reference points in a triangle.
- Players stand in pairs at each cone.
- The rear player performs the exercise.
- The player gets open from the player in front.
- A firm, hard pass is given along the ground.
- The receiver controls the ball with the furthest foot and passes to the next player.
- After the pass, the player sprints to the cone where they passed the ball.
- The player takes position in front of the player still standing there.
- Accurate and firm passing.
- Good one-touch ball control.
- Getting free from the defender.
Objective
- Practise switching sides during a match.
- Quickly transition from defending to attacking.
- Set up the goals with different coloured cones.
- Adjust the field size as desired, depending on the number of players.
- Form two teams; playing with a numerical disadvantage or advantage is possible but not necessary.
- Emphasise teamwork, not individual scoring.
- Start with a passing round, then call out a colour of a cone and they must score there.
- Continue scoring at that goal until a new colour is called.
- Begin with a new colour every 30-60 seconds, increase the pace if it goes well.
- Add an extra dimension by passing the ball in from the side when the ball is out.
- Players must come to the ball, otherwise the ball is not played.
- Adjust the level of difficulty to the team's level.
Setup
- Players stand on one side of the goal next to the post.
- One wall passer is positioned at the penalty spot.
- The player passes the ball directly to the wall passer.
- The player sprints around the wall passer.
- The player finishes on goal.
- Use a large goal or a small goal.
