Soccer drills for technique shoot

  • 2 large goals at 35 metres.
  • 3 variants:
    • Cross ball - check + cross - finish.
    • Passing to striker - handball - finish.
    • Passing to striker - short combination - finish.

  • Distance: 
    • Round up from 16 onwards and build up from there. 
    • All at 10 mtrs distance.
  • Duration: 
    • 20 minutes.
  • Elaboration: 
    • Same as pass form. 
    • A to B. 
    • B to C.
    • C to D.
    • D lays wide and C rounds off.

  • Place pylons as shown in the picture.
  • Players on pylon 1, pylon 2 and pylon 3.
  • Player 2 runs round the pylon, calls and offers. (practise running free from man).
  • Player pylon 1 plays in and player pylon 2 rebounds.
  • Player pylon 2 walks up to pos 1 2 or 3 to choose place to finish.
  • Player pylon 1 passes to player pylon 3.
  • Player pylon 3 sends a tailored cross to the chosen place of player pylon 2.
  • Player pylon 2 takes over or finishes directly on the chosen spot.

  • Note two roles for 1 player: handball and passer and then playable again for attack.

  • Player in red plays a long ball to the goalkeeper
  • Goalkeeper rebounds
  • Red comes running in and plays to blue
  • Blue takes the pass, turns and sends white deep
  • White crosses while blue defends on red

  • 4 players on position as on picture.
  • Notice:
    • With player 2 2 players in line.
  • Player 1 plays player 2.
  • Player 2 turns and passes to wing player 3 right in front.
  • Player 3 near the 16 meter width pass on the left for player 4.
  • Player 4 passes the ball wide and player 1 finishes.
  • Player 1 to player 2, player 2 to player 3.
  • Player 3 to player 4, player 4 takes the ball and goes to the front of the line.

  • Pass kick with variations in finishing and build-up.
    • Goalkeeper throws out.
    • Forward passes and closes in.
    • Handball.
    • Goalkeeper shoots out,
    • forward with his back to the goal.
    • He turns away.

  • Short pass man on the right, getting inside the ball.
  • Short handball, moving around the declarer.
  • Tight short pass to striker.

  • Tight ball between the lines in the deep to the outfield player.
  • Run on time!
  • Do not be offside.

  • Finish!
  • No touch is an extra point.

  • Edge 16.
  • 3 rounds per person.
  • At 10 goals 16m sprint through the goalie.
  • At less than 10 goals 16m sprint through the group (back and forth).
  • Finish during the opening turn and/or after the handball 15 - 20 minutes.
  • Variant 1 with opening twist.
    • Player 1 passes to player 2.
    • Player 1 walks to the pawn of player 2.
    • Player 2 turns open and passes to player 3.
    • Player 2 walks to the pawn of player 3.
    • Player 3 turns open and shoots directly at goal.
    • Player 3 retrieves the ball and passes to player 4.
  • Variant 2 with handball.
    • Player 4 plays into player 5.
    • Player 4 runs to the pawn of player 5.
    • Player 5 turns open and plays into player 6.
    • Player 5 runs to and shows where he wants the ball.
    • Player 6 looks where player 5 wants the ball and bounces it there.
    • Player 5 rebounds the ball on the 11 meter and then quickly runs back to the pawn near player 6.
    • Player 6 starts running when the ball is played and shoots the ball on goal.
    • Retrieve the ball quickly and join player 1 at the back.
  • With 9 - 10 players this exercise is so good.
  • If you have 12 or more players, use the following variation.
  • These three points are then a replacement of point 1.
    • Player 7 passes the ball to player 1(or 6).
    • Player 1(0f 6) rebounds the ball diagonally and walks to the pawn of player 2(or 5).
    • Player 7 runs into the ball and plays the ball to player 2(or 5).

  • Ordinary rules of the game (match alike)
  • Check that what has been learnt is understood and applied in a game 
  • Scoring in the small goal must be done with the foot. = 1 point
  • Scoring in the big goal with the head = 2 points
  • Has the objective been achieved?
  • To see the relationship between the solutions/possibilities offered in the previous exercise forms and the party form (competition)
