Tennisexercises
- Put a ball on the players rackets, and let them steal each other's balls without falling off.
- If their ball is stolen or falls off, let them run e.g. for 1 round
- Depends on the age!
- between the two tennis players are 2 hoops, about a meter apart.
- Try to get the ball into each other's hoop (who has the most hits)?
- More difficult: between the two tennis players.
- each on one side of the net, on each side of the net 2 hoops (hoops must be on the same spot on both sides), play the ball over the net and try to bounce the ball in the other hoop.
Work in pairs:
- 2 players face each other in the middle of the cones/balls/rackets.
- 1 player = follower
- 1 player = escaper/runner
- At the start signal, the runner tries to misdirect the follower.
- There's a ball on both rackets/pistons and the runner must try to take it without the follower being able to tap it.
- tapping with tennis ball in hand
- Successful = 1 point (first 3) and then change.
- POSITION 1: KNEES LIFT LENGTH BASELINE _ NET
- POSITION 2: LUNGES WITH ROTATION FH/ BH
- POSITION 3: TAPPING LINES WITH HAND / RACKET // SERVICE BOX
- POSITION 4: SKATE ON THE DOUBLE LINES WITH BALANCE
- POSITION 5: RCKET JUMPING L-R
= Sliding through system: Lunges- knees lift- racketspin-lines taps- 1 leg jumps with balance
exercise takes 1 min - 30 sec rest (move to next exercise) = 7.5 min/ lap = 2 rounds = 15 min
SPLIT AND AGILITY
- Set up 2 sides of the net:
- 2 cones (split point + direction)
- 1 cone ( make circle)
- 2 cones miniline (splitstep+ direction)
- sprint up to the net.-> Get in line. (5 per row)
- 2 cones (split point + direction)

- The players use the lines of the pitch - no equipment needed.
- They are given different tasks that they will perform 1',
- then 1' rest and work your partner (keep the distance).
- Stand along the line: Tapping RV over the line as much as possible. / Tap LV across the line as much as possible.
- Hop from one line to the other - are you falling? Start again. (put extra stripe/strip in the middle)
- 2 feet across the line, 2 feet behind the line.
- base line posture - net
- Long jump followed by a high jump
- The players start in 1 corner of the field (mini-tennis) and try to play volley with each other to the other side and back.
- How many times can they go up and down?
- The player across the field starts in the middle of the field (baseline) and gets a low ball thrown in
- Requires the first ball slice to be played straight ahead.
- The player on trainers side
- Start single line FH/BH (opposite line to first ball)
- Play out
- Can you score with volley? = 3 points
- The players leave in the middle of the field (baseline):
- They get a lower ball played on their BH/FH
- Deep slice along the line
- Follow on to the net and finish volley (aiming) on the tower of balls. (cone)
- Practice the same other side or both sides at the same time.
- 1 set of BH slice - 1 set of FH slice - 1 set of BH slice....
- The player starts at the starting cone;
- Move low and sideways running to the next cone.
- Jumping back to the previous cone
- Afterwards back to the 2nd cone and jump back.
- The player starts at the starting cone.
- As soon as possible he moves to the other cones and plays the BH.
- Cross over move back to the starting cone
- Footwork: L-R-L for BH (right-handed)
- Players play 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 with both a racket in their hands.
- There is a hoop in the middle between the teams.
- They get a baby ball (purple ball) and they have to hit the ball into the hoop each time.
- If the opponents can't take the ball anymore =2x bounces = point.
- Pass to each other
- Do not disturb
- So the players are constantly walking around their hoop, in order to make different angles for the opponent
- 1 - 1 start = afterwards 2 vs 2
- First play the ball up to yourself - then try to score ( 1 player -1 player)
- Receiving the ball from opponents - play up (pass to team-mate) team-mate must play in the hoop ( 2-2 players)
