- Announcer with ball under the basket, shooter and defender in front of the basket.
- The shooter gets free around the basket and takes 6 shots.
- The defender may block a maximum of 2 of the 6 shots.
- Passive pressure is applied to the other shots.
- The intention is for the attacker to actually shoot regardless of what the defender does.
- And the intention is to shoot convincingly, the balls that are not blocked must be really shot to score, so don't focus too much on the defender but just keep shooting.
- With 4 players you have an extra rebounder.
Rules/Agreements:
- Divide team into groups of 2-3 people.
- Each group stands behind a row of pawns: last in line stands under the basket with ball.
- Number 1 runs to pawn 1 and back, to pawn 2 and back, to pawn 3 and takes a passed ball, catches ball and stands in throw.
- Number 2 runs to pion 1 and back, to pion 2 and back, to pion 3 and takes a passed ball, catches the ball and stands in the throw.
- They do this until they have both scored x number of times.
Variations:
- At pion 2, use a through ball in the first round.
- At pawn 3, distance shot in the second round.
- At pawn 4, penalty throw in the third round.
Play 2 against 2 on 1 basket
Difficulty of this task is that there are few options to work towards a chance.
Difficulty of this task is that there are few options to work towards a chance.
Free running and passing are therefore of utmost importance.
Let the players help think about what the best options are.
The attackers stay in the field of play and play until a goal is scored or an interception is made.
Ball out of the field of play is also an interception.
Because of the high intensity, build in some more rest.

Per basket 2 teams of 2
Mark the shot distance with cones
Mark the shot distance with cones
- Per team a declarator/ rebounder and a shooter.
- The goal is to score 5x as a shooter, then you earn 1 point for your team.
- When 1 of the 2 teams has a point, both switch positions and start again with the goal of scoring 5x.
- The team that has 3 points first wins.
Pay close attention to the basic technique of the shot. Important to execute well. Often players will tend to shoot quickly under time pressure.
Per 2 players at the basket. Always 45 seconds per player.
- Pass ball from cone 8 meters before the basket
- From cone left, open and pass the ball outside the hand.
- Open from the right side of the cone and pass the ball outside the hand.
- Competition format: loose ball from 10m, 8m and 6m extra pots which count for 1, 2 and 3 points respectively.
Moment of rest: shoot from a calm movement - From cone swerve with shot to the right
- From cone swerve with shot to the left
- Open from left cone, pass again with inner hand and via deflection take shot to left
- From cone right open, pass again with inner hand and via deflection to shot at right
The focus in this exercise is on shooting to score.
The shooter must score 3 goals. You get one point for each shot you hit and switch when you succeed.
The rebounder under the post gets one point for each shot you miss. In
this way we increase the pressure on the shooter in front of the basket.
When the shooter in front of the basket has scored three goals we switch functions.
The rebounder becomes the shooter and shoots until three goals have been scored. Who has the most points?

The rebounder becomes the shooter and shoots until three goals have been scored. Who has the most points?
- A shooter stands at shot distance in front of the basket, a rebounder under the post.
- The attacker keeps shooting until three goals have been scored.
- Each goal scored counts as a point for the shooter.
- Each missed shot counts as a point for the rebounder.
- When three goals are scored, there is a change of positions.
- When both players have scored three goals the game is over. Who has the most points?
Too difficult:
To prevent the rebounder from getting a lot of points because the shooter doesn't get to three goals (quickly) a rule of play can be introduced:
To prevent the rebounder from getting a lot of points because the shooter doesn't get to three goals (quickly) a rule of play can be introduced:
- If the shooter misses five times in a row, the game is also changed.
To make the shot easier, one can choose to shoot close to the post.
Too easy:
Does the shooter score a lot of goals? Challenge him by increasing the shot distance
The goal is to score 500x with each team in the 5 assignments, after each assignment there is an in-between exercise for variation:
- Task 1: Passing balls: score 120x
- Intermediate task 1: defend 2 v 1 on 3 posts (5 minutes)
- Task2: Shots from the front of the basket, out of motion: score 80x
- Intermediate task 2: longest run scoring at 2 minutes (missing is back to 0). After 2 minutes you change your declarator/shooter
- Task3: Short chances with interpass: score 120x
- Intermediate task 3: longest sequence of scoring at 2 minutes (missing is back to 0), but now there may be 1 miss before having to go back to 0. After 2 minutes you change players.
- Task4: Penalty throws: 100
- Intermediate task 4:
- At each post there is one fixed shooter with a fixed rebounder.
- In each round, the shooters must score one goal within the time limit.
- When a goal is scored, the ball is held.
- If no goal is scored within the time limit, the shooter is out of the game.
- The game will be played in the following rounds
: Round 1: 10 secondsRound
2: 5 secondsRound
3: 3 seconds or 1 opportunity - The shooter will not be changed until all rounds have been played.
- Are all players missing in a round? Then the round will be replayed!
- Intermediate task 4:
- Task 5: Shots back basket out of motion: 80 (possibly rotate poles 180°)
Per 2 (or 3) at a basket:
- Scoring 6 through balls together (with trio 8x scoring)
- Diversion to shot (alternate left and right)
- Scoring 4 together (with trio 5x scoring)
- 4 for 4 shots from your own distance
- Scoring together 6x in series 1,
- Scoring 4x in serie 2
- and score 2 x in serie 3 (with trio every 2 shots)
- Short chances
- Scoring 10x together
- Evasion to shot, then falling in for the through ball (only a point if both are scored in succession);
- Together 5 points (trio goes to 6 points)
- Shooting from a calm movement 4 to 4
- Scoring 5 points together
- Only one point when two shots in a row are scored (with trio every 2 shots, even if the last ball of shooter 1 goes in and the first one from player 2 are 2 shots in a row)
Play 3 series (see scoring exercise 3 ), which pole wins most often?
In this form of competition we emphasize free running in attack:
Play this with 3 attackers against 2 defenders.
As attackers against the 2 defenders, try to create good chances as
quickly
as possible.
As attackers, try to continuously run into the spaces over the backs of the defenders in order to get free faster to shoot and score.

as possible.
As attackers, try to continuously run into the spaces over the backs of the defenders in order to get free faster to shoot and score.
Only balls may be passed beside you (not over the defenders. In this way you encourage the fellow attackers on both sides to open a play line which is easy for the player in possession of the ball.
- The attackers stay within the defined playing area.
- The attacker must decide within a maximum of 5 (or 3) seconds between shooting or passing....
- Who is first to score 3 points?
- A goal is a point for the attack.
- An interception or a ball out through the attackers is a point for the defenders.
- You can also work with 3 attempts or attacks if it takes too long to pass.
Challenge players to find answers to these questions:
- Where is the space?
- Where are the defenders or where are the defenders looking and how can I best get clear?
If you have 8 players, you can still have them play 2 on 1 at a basket (release within the oval).
If you are with 9 players, you can still have 2 on 2 play at a basket (again with the emphasis on getting free to shoot).
There is a shooter in the front court and a rebounder under the post.
- The shooter takes the following chances in a fixed order:
- Chance 1: Penalty throw (1 point)
- Chance 2: Distance shot (2 points)
- Chance 3: walkthrough ball (1 point)
- Chance 4: short chance behind the basket (1 point)
- To cash in on the points, a free throw must then be taken.
- If it is hit, the shooter gets the accumulated points. If the free throw is missed, the shooter gets no points.
- After a series (the four chances and the free ball), the position is changed.
The player will be focused on scoring the free throw, otherwise he will not get any points. This way we challenge the player to stay focused on scoring.
Too difficult:
Possibly have 2 chances taken to score 1 free throw.
Possibly have 2 chances taken to score 1 free throw.
Goal is to make 20 points (can be adjusted if needed).
Circuit training where every 2 minutes a station is rotated through. If necessary, adjust assignments according to the people present.
Assignments:
- Walk-through ball (2 people)
- Jumping rope (1 person)
- Penalty throw (1 person)
- Sitting ball return, 4x left, 4x right, 4x straight ball above head to ground and repeat (2 people)
- Free throw (2 persons)
- Walk straight/diagonal (1 person)
- Short chance (1 person)
- Pass assignment: walk sideways, player 1 gives pass straight ahead, player 2 changes hands and plays bot pass straight ahead after which player 1 changes hands again (2 persons)
- Shot in front of the basket from movement (2 persons)
- Ball skills: on 1 leg, turn ball around body and back, then pass ball under raised leg and repeat from beginning. After 2 series, change supporting leg (1 person).
- Shot behind the basket from movement (2 persons)
Warm-up:
The goal is to get the Frisbee to the other side, in the box behind the playing field, by means of free running.
The attacking side gets a point when a teammate catches the Frisbee behind the line.
The player who is holding the Frisbee is not allowed to run with the Frisbee.
The defenders may not defend directly against the player who is holding the Frisbee, but they may hit the Frisbee to the ground.
The Frisbee is then for the defending side.
Therefore, if the Frisbee does not reach a teammate, it is always for the opposing team.

- The game is played in two teams of 4 players.
- The offensive team starts with the Frisbee in their hands.
- By overplaying, the attacking side tries to catch the Frisbee behind the backline. Is there a catch? Then the attacking side has a point.
- The defending side can get possession of the Frisbee by hitting it on the ground when it is loose.
- The team that scores 3 points first wins.
Too hard? At some point you can also choose to play in a square, where the Frisbee no longer needs to be brought behind the playing field only, but all sides earn a point
Target
- To shoot cleanly and build up fitness
- Which pair has the first 5 up and down runs?
Rules
- You start by sprinting up and down 10 times
- Then you shoot 10 times and count how many times you score
- If you have scored 5 or more times (half of your number of sprints up and down), you may sprint up and down once less, so 9 times.
- Then you start shooting again and count how many times you score. If this is half or more than the number of times you sprinted up and down, you may subtract another time.
Per 5 works, other players take penalty throws:
1 declarer with ball to basket, 2 attackers with one defender each
1 declarer with ball to basket, 2 attackers with one defender each
- Both attackers may use the (regular) attacker to get free in a 1-1 situation.
- Each score is 1p.
- Swap after 3 chances.
- Both attackers may use either the passer to get free, or they may get the assist from the space of the other attacker (but without the latter playing from a support position).
- Scoring after a pass from the basket is 1 point, scoring after an assist from the other attacker is 2 points.
- Change again after 3 chances.
- The same, but the attacker who plays the ball may not get it back directly. Thus, you have to make the choice to pass.
- 1 point again after a pass, 2 points if the assist is from the front court.
- Change again after 3 chances.
- Under each post is a passer with the ball. In the front court, a shooter stands at each post.
- The archers in front of the basket keep shooting until one of the archers has scored two goals.
- When one shooter has scored two goals, all shooters move to the next post.
- All shooters add to the number of goals they have scored. When one shooter has scored four goals, everyone rotates through again.
- The first shooter to score ten goals wins.
Changeover: A changeover takes place when one shooter has scored 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 goals.
Shooters then become passers and vice versa. Let the winners, completed with the other highest scores, play a final.
Four sets:
- Ladder:
- 3 foot contacts per section
- Walk backwards to start position
- Ladder:
- Shuffle (2 foot contacts in, 1 foot contact out)
- Jump from a standing position over the hurdle
- Ladder:
- Same as previous but backwards + jump from standing, at landing immediately change in short sprint
- Ladder:
- Sideways with 2 foot contacts, knees high (alternate left-right every time)
- Lunges at a slow pace back
- Ladder:
- 2 feet together 2 forward, 1 backward
- Sideways low position to starting point (change direction of view every sequence)
- One ball each: Ladder:
- 3 foot contacts ball above head
- Slowly walk back and at the same time move the ball around the waist
- One ball each: Ladder:
- Rebound 1 contact per section with ball around waist (change leg every series)
- Pump 4 times on ball
- Place a square around the basket, in which the attackers must stay:
- Attackers must decide immediately (+/- 3 seconds) to play on or shoot.
- Play 3 attacks and then switch, attack ends when a goal is scored, when the ball is out of bounds or when there is an interception by the opponent
Upgrade:
- Attackers may also only give 5 passes
- Attackers allowed only 3 passes
- When attackers bring the ball (clearly) below the shoulders, the attack also ends (not being ready to shoot)
Assignment:
- Attack:
- Within the allotted time, choose a correct position for penalty throw or free throw.
- Defense:
- Position yourself properly in front of your attacker for penalty throw or free throw within the set time.
Rules:
- Leader calls if a free throw or a penalty throw is given and who will take it.
- Attackers and defenders line up within the time limit.
- Mistakes will be discussed positively.
- For higher teams, only place a pawn in front of the penalty spot.
