Volleyballexercises for u10
PART A: N3/4: 10 minutes.
- Passes: Row bit at the back of the field. Everyone has a ball, trainer at the net.
- Player throws the ball to the trainer.
- Trainer throws the ball back to the player. WITH A CURVE!
- Player passes the ball to the trainer.
- Trainer throws the ball over the net to the other side.
- Player retrieves the ball and joins the back of the line.
Attention! Meanwhile pay attention to:
- Foot position; one foot in front, not too far apart.
- Play with your legs, not with your arms.
- The ball may not cross the net, so arm position; do not make an angle that is too big.
PART A: N5: 10 minutes.
- Pass exercise.
PART B: N3/4/5: 10 minutes.
- Serve on own level.
- There's a line behind the back line of the field,
- The #1 comes forward, who passes the ball to the front centre (trainer) and shuffles to the back right,
- There they get another ball (harder). This one must also be passed to the trainer.
- When this doesn't work, pick up the ball and give it to the trainer.

- Two teams are spread out in the field.
- The goal is that one team can pass the ball to its own players 10 times without interruption, without the ball falling or ending up in the hands of the other team.
- If player B catches the ball from player A, he may not throw it back to A.
- It is not allowed to run with ball in hand.
- You may not knock the ball out of your hands.
- Passing is prohibited.
- If the ball falls or ends up in the hands of the other team, the count starts again from zero.
- Variations:
- The players of each team are tied in pairs.
- Each team designates one of its players as a wild card. At "10" the ball must be caught by the joker, otherwise the count will start again from zero.
- With this exercise the players learn how to play 'smart'. just over the net or in the back corners.
- The field is divided into two halves. On both halves there is a row of players.
- On the other side of the net are hoops, on the places where normally no players stand.
- The players throw the ball in front of themselves and play the ball overhand into the hoops. For every bale in the hoop they get one point, the team with the most points has won. (addition: the trainer plays the ball and the players play into the hoops).
- 3 teams.
- 1 is at the net,
- 2 in the back and
- 3 in the middle.
- 1 plays bra to 2,
- 2 plays bra to 3,
- 3 plays bra back to 2 and then turns around,
- 2 plays bra to 1,
- 1 plays bra to 3 etc etc
- Pay attention to this and after a while change the middle man.
- Ditto,
- Only now the middle man doesn't turn and we play the ball backwards.
- So 1 plays to 2,
- 2 plays backwards to 3 and
- 3 plays the ball to 1,
- 1 again to 2 etc. etc.
- Pay special attention to the position of the middle man!
- Again, pay attention to this.
On your own:
- Throwing the ball straight up above your head. Using legs and arms. Catch the ball.
- Keep the ball in the air, it doesn't matter how. Let's get it warm.
- Play the ball 5x (or more) with overhand technique
- Play 5x (or more) the ball with underhand technique
Per 2 players:
- 10x throwing and catching the ball with overhand technique
- Throw the ball correctly 10 times, the other player plays it back overhand. And vice versa
- Pass the ball correctly 10 times, the other player returns underhand. Vice versa.
- Trainer throws the ball to the middle player
- He passes to SV
- SV gives setup
- Attacker plays the ball SLIMLY over the net
- so just obver the net
- Or in the back of the field in the corners
- On the other side there are 2 people blocking and defending behind.

- Player at the basket takes off and goes into line A.

- Quiet walk to the other side of the hall.

- Another player gives the orders on the way back.
- The assignments are:
- Tap the ground
- Turn around your own axis
- Jump up
- Walk backwards
- Heels (6 times)
- Up on your hands and feet, at the command backwards on your hands and feet
- Squats with arm swing, bend the knees (weight backwards as if you are sitting on a chair) swing the arms downwards and as soon as you come up with the arms again, the body also comes up to the toes.--> 10 times fast, 10 times easy, 5 times super slow
- Handwalk. Put the hand flat on the ground and walk as far as you can with the hands in front, walk back with the hands under the shoulder, push up and walk with the feet to the hands
- the players stand side by side on the back line
- From the defensive position, one step forward is taken,
- The players stand side by side on the back line and the upper body is moved forward as low as possible.
- The protruding leg must be bent so that the body remains low.
- In the meantime, the arms remain stretched out in front of the body.
- If the back of the player passes the front foot, the player will fall forward and the arms are placed side by side on the floor to catch the fall.
- While the hands are on the floor, the back must be drawn hollow and the body moves a little further forward.
- The intention is that the belly hits the ground first.
- After this the player stands again on the spot where he landed and repeats the exercise until the net is reached.
- Usually this can be done in 2 or 3 dives.
Divide players in pairs with a net in between and a ball for each pair:
1. first throw and catch overhead (20x). After that bounce the ball under the net (20x).
2. Player 1 throws, 2 plays back overhead. Then runs to the backline to touch it and gets another ball. 15x then change.
3. Player 1 throws a ball from 2 meter line, player 2 is ready at the net to block. After the block sprint to the backline to tap the ball. 15x then change.
4. Player 1 (now standing in front of the net) throws a ball to player 2 on the backline. Player on backline passes back underhand, runs to the net, taps it and runs back to backline. 15x after that change.
5. finally play over together.
- 2 rows of players

- There are three mats each in a corner of the field (half a hall is sufficient).
- There are two tickers. The rest stand on one of the mats.
- The taggers try to tag the other players.
- The players try to run from mat to mat as often as possible. Each time they succeed in doing so, they get 1 point.
- If a player is tagged, the counter goes to 0 and he has to knock over a pawn.
- If 5 pawns are knocked down, the ticker is changed. This can also be done after 1-2 minutes instead of knocking over pawns.
- Which player got the most points?
Variation:
- Instead of changing pawns after 5 pawns, you can also change the time. For example, after 1-2 minutes you can change the catchers.
- Instead of every mat being 1 point, you can also practise counting: every mat is 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 points. Of course depending on the age.
- You can also adjust the number of tickers (more or less).
2 equal teams
1 defensive team, 1 offensive team
You play in the width of the field
Defensive team: stands behind a sideline. Each player has a pawn in front of him/her at a distance of 1 to 2 meters.
Attacking team: stands on the opposite side of the pitch. Trying to 'steal' these pawns. They do this by taking a pawn and putting it behind their line.
The defending team must try to knock off the other team. But if they cross their line, they have to tap someone, if not, that person is out.
If someone on the attacking team is tagged, he or she is also out and the pawn must be placed back.
Goal
Attacking team: steal all pawns
Defending team: kick everyone off
- Walk slowly to the other side of the hall.
- One player indicates with a "Yes" that the other players have to do an assignment.
- On the way back another player gives the assignments.
The assignments can be made up by the players themselves. Until everyone has been. - Squats with arm swing, bend the knees (weight backwards as if you are sitting on a chair) swing the arms downwards and as soon as you come up with the arms again, the body comes up to the toes.
- Handwalk. Put your hand flat on the ground and walk as far as you can with your hands in front of you, walk back with your hands under the shoulder, press up and walk with your feet to the hands
- Loose twist and stretch + penalty bench
Play the ball underarm.
- Accent on foot position (wide and 1 leg before and after the pass)
- Arms straight and still when passing - right leg before and after the pass - step out on the left for the follow-up action
- Also use the knees
Two teams in the length of the field.
Pass the ball at the net 10 times at 6 mtr and the player at 6 mtr passes the ball back.
Coach each other when things are not going well and indicate whether the ball is good or not.
Make 3 or 4 teams (depends on the amount of players).
1 player on 7mtr line and 2 at the net.
- Player 1 plays the ball overhand to player 2 (7mtr).
- Player 2 plays the ball underarms to player 3 (net)
- Player 3 plays the ball overhand again to player 1.
If the exercise is running player 1 can hit the ball overhand (quietly).

1. 4 x back and forth (forward and backward
) 2. 3 x back and forth with quiet block jump and backward shuffle3
. 2x side defense stance4
. Handwalk heavy (make long (stretch), walk on your hands to the front, 3 counts, back with your hands 1x push up again with your feet to your hands walk. And then one more time. (to the net and then calmly walk back to the backline)

The purpose of the core is that the players can play the ball overhead.
- The players stand in pairs facing each other and play overhead.
- Hands well above the head, from the legs, stretch the body and point to the ball
- The players stand further and further apart.
- Then we form two rows diagonally across the field and we play BH, chase your ball

- Triplets 1 ball.
- Two on the backline 1 with ball at the net.
- The ball is thrown in one half of the field, the passer has to call and the other one is going to catch it.
- The players may only pass to their own side.
- If the passer succeeds in catching the ball they both get a point.
- If all passes well the passer has a point (be strict on the pass).
- After 10 balls they rotate.
Variation
If the back players get the ball to the net player, they earn an extra point.
3 teams A B C
- A plays BH to B
- B plays BH backwards to C
- The elbows are outwards when playing backwards.
- C plays BH to B
- C has to play and stretch from the knees
- after 10x 1 spot turn

- Pay much attention to the following accents:
- Make sure that the player stretches completely and points the ball 'behind'.
- And when playing backwards, make sure the elbows are well apart and extended backwards as well.
Pay attention in the exercises:
- Pass must come high so player can catch the ball 'overhand'.
- Pass to the right, right foot forward
- Pass to the left, left foot forward
- Eyes" of the shoulders in the direction of play
The exercise:
- 3 pairs with 1 ball.
- 1 and 2 stand next to each other, not too close to the net.
- 3 faces 1 in the back of the court.
- 1 throws straight at 3 and 3 tests diagonally to 2.
- 2 catches and then throws straight to 3 and 3 keys diagonally to 1.
- So 3 moves around all the time.

- 2 rows of players
- 1 row on the left back
- 1 row on the right back
- 2 catchers
- create with 3 pawns a virtual line where they have to stand.
- trainer stands at the other side of the net and throws the ball somewhere in the field.
- 1 of the 2 front rows calls LOS orIK (let's agree) and plays the ball to the receiver.
- This one becomes the new receiver.
- Substitute takes ball and puts it in ball bin.
- Catcher joins one of the rows.

EXTENSION:
- 2 rows of players
- 1 row at the left back
- 1 row at the right back
- create with 3 pawns a virtual line where they have to stand.
- trainer stands at the other side of the net and throws the ball somewhere in the field.
- 1 of the 2 front rows calls out LOS orIK (agree on this) and plays the ball over the net
- This one also goes to get the ball --> TR and joins one of the rows

Make pairs and per pair one hoop.
- 2 players in the field.
- 1 with hoop and 1 without
- The ball is thrown into the field by the trainer.
- The hoop is put on the ground by person 1 on the spot where the ball is going to bounce.
- The ball bounces in the hoop and person 2 has to pass the ball.
- Person 1 then gives the set-up and finally person 1 finishes it off by passing the ball over the net.
PURPOSE: Walking withthe ball and choosing the right position.
- 2 rows of players
- 1 row on the left back
- 1 row at the right back
- create with 4 pawns a virtual line where they have to stand behind
- trainer stands at the other side of the net and throws the ball somewhere in the field.
- 1 of the 2 front rows calls LOS orIK (agree on that)
- This player passes the ball over the net to the previous player.
- catch a round for the next player
- If you did not have the ball, join the shortest row.
