A short but intensive warming up to get the heart rate up and warm up properly.
This is completely without the ball.
- To start this warming-up we first start with 2 to 3 laps around the field.
- This is to warm up the muscles a little bit.
- Then we stand in a circle.
- And do the following exercises in order with a 10 count rest each time

A varied warm-up where 6 benches standing next to each other with each +/-2-3m between them form the basis. See videos for exercises. It is a varied selection of exercises: running, running, jumping and strength exercises with and without a ball. Depending on the target group, you can choose the exercises.
1. 2 players start at the same time. One slaloms around the benches by starting on the right, the other by starting on the left.
- Forward in a run
- Give high-fives every time they cross each other.
- Every time they cross each other jump and hit each other's hands.
- Backwards
2. Same as 1, only it's not a slalom, but you meet in the middle every time.
- Lean on one knee and join hands. Then back again and walk around the bench.
3. 2 players remain simultaneously. Grab bench with two hands. Do legs over the bench three times. Then move to next bench and so on.
4. Same as 3, but they cross each other. Every bench one changes from left to right.
5. You jump as 3, once over the bench. Sit with your back against the bench. Grasp the bench with your arms. Legs stretched. Do 1 push up.
6. Same as 5, but you cross each other. Each bench is alternated between left and right.
Grasp the bench with your hands and your body stretched out. You make 1 push up. And jumps once over the bench.
8. Same as 7, but you cross each other. Each bank switches from left to right.
9. Combination of 6 and 8. Start at the first bench with a push forward, the next bench backward and so on until the last bench. In between they cross.
10. One jumps leg by leg over the benches in a running pace.
11. Same as 10, but they cross each other. Each bench is crossed from left to right.
12. One jumps on the bench. Then from 1 jump spread legs around the bench. You look at each other. Bench up-down-up and through.
13. Same as 12, but they cross each other. Every bench one changes from left to right.
14. Pairs. One player lifts up the bench at the right side. The other player crawls under the bench and grabs the next bench on the left. Now the other player goes under the bench, etc.
Foursomes. In fact the same as 14, only now the bench is grabbed by 2 players on both sides. Then 2 players go under it and hold up the next bench, etc.
- 1 half of the field; 2 or 3 players form a wall in the middle at 7 metres;
- 4 persons will defend;
- others take care of balls.
- Starting position of the defenders is mid back line (1 person).
- Trainer throws ball into the field from position 3 (in front of the net). 1st defender dives / passes ball to 2/3
- Immediately after that the next ball is thrown to the next defender.
- High tempo; players should at least try to touch the ball, better is defending & passing to 2/3
- There are players on all positions in the field
- The trainer stands on position 4 on the opposite side (if necessary on a raised position)
- When the trainer throws up the ball, the players may move: set up a two-man block at position 2 and the others move to the defensive system
- Play out rally, build up attackEvents
: place hoops or mats in the other field to play third ball to - Turn over as in the game. The person at position 2 goes out to get the ball, the reserve turns in at position 1
- 2 rows of players
- 1 row on the left back
- 1 row at the right back
- create with 4 pawns a virtual line where they have to stand behind
- trainer stands at the other side of the net and throws the ball somewhere in the field.
- 1 of the 2 front rows calls LOS orI (let's agree)
- he passes it to the net and the other one catches it.

- divide into 2 groups of 5
- 1 player on each side on position 5
- 1 player under the basket
- ball is thrown over the net and the passer plays the ball into the basket
- after that you join the group on your own side of the net.

- Two rows of pawns, about 3 meters between rows, one pawn every 1.5m.
- Total 8 per row. Players divide into 2 groups and 2 rows,

- Move sideways between the pawns, touching each pawn 2x
- Speed ladder is from the back line towards the net, in the middle of the field.
- Players move every round with a different movement pattern for the footwork through the speed ladder towards the net, then a block at position 3, move to position 2 or 4 (alternate) and a block again there.
- Then immediately step out to the defensive position on the 3-m line (with the cross move, immediately adopt a low stance and weight on the front feet).
- After the defensive position two options: either shuffle backwards towards the baseline or make a diving roll towards the baseline.
- Depending on the team and fitness level, increase the number of rounds the players have to make.
- Blocking with 2 groups of 5 players each
- 1 player on position 2, 1 player on position 3 with a reserve next to her
- 2 players with a ball on the other side of the net, on position 4, of which 1 reserve
- One of the players with a ball hits the ball and then throws or hits the ball slightly above the net edge towards the block
- As soon as the ball is struck, the blocking player moves from position 3 and joins the blocking player at position 2, after which the thrown or struck ball is blocked
- The player who threw the ball becomes a reserve, the reserve takes over position 3, the blocking player at position 3 takes over position 2, the player at position 2 goes to get the ball and becomes a reserve at the throw/strike
- Pay attention to the position of the hands/fingers and the connection of the hands
Objective;
- The teams on the mats must conquer 4 pawns together without being tapped in x number of minutes
Equipment;
- Pairs on the 3 mats (can be extended to 2 pairs)
- 2 cops between the mats and pawns
- 9 Pawns about a field length of the mats.
Explanation of the game;
- The pair on the mat must conquer a pawn, hand in hand or otherwise connected to each other.
- The taggers will try to tag one of the two.
- If one of them gets caught, they have to go back to their mat and try again.
- The first to four cones wins. The team with the fewest pawns is the winner.
- Set a time limit for a number of minutes to keep the game going.

- 2 teams (6,8,10 or 12 players)
- 1 person in the field (inside 3m line).
- Other players stand behind the 3m line in the waiting room.
- T puts ball in play in field A or B.
- You may only play the ball overhand within the 3m line.
- After playing the ball step out and someone in the waiting room takes your place.
- If you make a mistake, make sure you have the ball safe and encourage your teammates.
- If all the players of a team are eliminated, you have a point.
- Idem only underhand play
- idem overhand play only outside the 3m line
Make two equal groups;
Number 1 starts and walks to the centre pawn and from the centre to the other pawns as follows;
1. Right front back to the middle2
. Left front back to the middle3
. Right back to the centre4
. Back right to the center.
Then he taps the next one in line and he does the same.

Various exercises through the speed ladder.
- First priority on correct execution of the exercise, then increase speed.
- Four ladder repetition per exercise.
- Possible exercises for illustration - see Youtube for many examples/performances
- 1 foot per box -
- 2 feet per box -
- 2 in, 2 out.
- Hooping
- expand to 1 box skip 1 back
- or sideways (right v/d speed ladder, in, left v/d speed ladder in etc.)

- 2 players at the 7 meter line and a SV at the net.
- 1 server on RA, someone on LA and a blocker at the net.
- Server serves to the 2 people across the court.
- They pass to the SV who gives a 3-meter ball or a ball at the net (discuss what you want).
- The blocker tries to block the ball.
- The server passes after the serve and plays out the attack (if possible).

There are two teams. These teams serve against each other. So you have to do the field vertically through the middle. On the picture you see what the left team has to do. The right team does the same but a little further to the right. The intention is to hit the person sitting down. This person has to put his butt on the ground and catch the ball without bouncing.
There is a person sitting on the other side of the table, just behind the net, on the right front side. The goal is to hit this person. You do this with your group until you succeed. If it succeeds, the server moves to the back right and the person in front of the net joins the row to serve as well. If the serve is successful and the person at the back can catch the ball without a bounce, the server may sit in the middle of the front row. If the server has a good serve on him, he will sit at the back mid court.
-->All positions are from the server's point of view on the other side of the net.
You can do that twice in a row, but you can also do that they have won if they have had all 4 positions. So it's a competition to see which of the two teams gets all 4 positions the quickest.
(the net must not be hung up yet in this exercise!)
- Divide all children in pairs and each child lying on one side of the field. The children on side 1 lie on their stomachs and the children on side 2 on their backs.
- All children from side 1 run to the other side and lay down next to their partner on their back.
- As soon as this is done, the partner of side 2 can run to the other side, quickly lie down on his/her belly, touch the ground with his/her nose and run back to his/her own place. There lie down again on the back
- The child who lies on the ground on the back must now return to his/her own place.
Who is first back on base?
- this is an exercise in a kind of game form. In the opposite field a bench (or cupboard) has to be placed with a number of pylons standing on it.
- Children stand divided:
- in a line with the trainer with a ball in their hands (1);
- at the mv position (2);
- at the left front (side) position (3);
- 2 children behind the bench/cabinet to catch the balls (4);
- after play passing from 1 to 2 to 3 to 1
- child 1 gives the ball to the trainer who passes the ball to child 2
- child 2 gives a setup on the outside to child 3
- child 3 plays the ball brace over the net and tries to get as many pylons off the bench as possible
- after child 3 has played the ball, the ball is turned over.
(extension > hitting the ball)
Which team has hit/played the most pylons off the bench after X number of minutes?
- In pairs, facing each other, start at the cone.
- Place cones in the middle.
- One cone per pair
- First time backwards to the sideline.
- Return forward.
- Tapping and kneeling in reception position, waiting for the signal.
- On command move sideways to the sideline.
- Same side back.
- Wait through the knees.
- Third time knees up, back against seat.
- Knee sit next to the cone, right leg to leave.
- 4th time, very fast kick to the other side.
- Lie on your stomach on the line and kick back.

- Trainer throws the ball to the middle player
- He passes to SV
- SV gives setup
- Offender plays the ball SLIMLY over the net.
- so just over the net
- OR in the back of the field in the corners
- Place the hoop and force the player to play there (in 1 corner at a time). Afterwards with defender in that corner. Catch own ball and pass to trainer.
- Attacker catches the ball and puts it with trainer (in the box).
- Everyone turns 1 spot at a time (runs after own ball).
- Give instructions all the time
GOAL
Improve reaction time and speed + go for the ball
ORGANIZATION
Players have to grab balls
IMPLEMENTATION
- Row 1 players ready to play ball
- Row 2 players behind trainer with ball
- Front pushes trainer ball in hand and joins row 1
- Trainer throws ball into field and player from row 1:
- Runs towards the ball, lets it bounce 1x, 1x OH and then catches it
- Runs to the ball, lets it bounce 1x, 1x BH and then catch
- Runs to the ball, let it bounce 1x, 1x OH, 1x BH and then catch
- Runs to the ball, does not bounce, and touches it anyway : diving
- Connect with ball in the back of line 2
- High tempo and adapt to the player.
- One side of the court is a team formation, the other players stand with the trainer on the other side.
- Other players serve to the team (no serving exercise, so moderate serving).
- The ball will be returned to the other team, preferably in 3x, but at least in 2x.
- It is allowed to attack, stimulate also to "look" for the holes.
- Pay attention to the positions of the other players, are they ready to defend the ball?
- When the ball is on the ground the team position is shifted 1 position.
- place 2 skirting boards.
- start as low as possible (1 layer)
- Skirting boards one 'attack run' apart.
- if necessary put down hoops
- they jump with 2 legs onthe first skirting and land with both handsup
- off the skirting board and then an attack run on the 2nd skirting board
- short, long, connect, drop off. (rhythm: 1....2.3)
- Pay attention:
- push off with 2 legs
- arms swing backwards during the big step
- finish on the skirting-board with both hands in the air (if necessary, clap your hands)
- after that 2 block jumps at the net.
- Pay attention to side steps
- then around the pawn and trainer throws a diving ball
- Watch out for sliding on the belly
- Get the ball and put it in the bin.
- Join the back of the line for jumping
You can play this game with any 4 exercises you can think of.
- Make two pairs who will do the exercises together.
- Each pair gets a note with 4 boxes where they can put a code with the numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4.
- the trainer makes a code, this can be 4 different digits (4231) or with repeated digits (2233)
- the players have to do the 4 exercises in order of the code they wrote down. When they have done all 4 exercises they have to check the code with the trainer. The trainer notes how many are right and how many are wrong.
- the players write down the next code, and again they have to do 4 exercises that fit with the code they wrote down.
For example
- Exercise 1: sprint back and forth 5 times between 9m
- Exercise 2; block left, shuffle, block middle, shuffle, block right with pairs facing each other and two times back and forth
- Exercise 3: bench, 20x on and off the bench with 2 feet
- Exercise 4: 10x sit-up | 10x left / 10 x right
- The first pair to crack the code wins.
