Handballexercises for technique throw

  • 5 players stand in the front of 2 triangles: 2 facing each other /1 next to them/ then again 2 facing each other next to them.
  • Passing is done with 2 balls.
  • The pairs play across, but also to the middle if that player is turned their way.
  • That middle player plays back to the duo and then turns around again.

Line player stands at approximately 7 meters with his back to the goal.
In front of the line player stands a chook
  • 2 players left and right behind the line player alternately throw a ball into the chook.
  • The line player catches, turns 180 degrees as fast as possible and shoots jumping from position on goal, with goalkeeper.
  • Can be on either side.
  • Throwers alternate.
  • After 4 line players switch.

Use soft ball
Playing vision.
  • 5 players in the field without a fixed goalie.
  • One aims for a maximum of 2 substitutions per team.
  • All players attack together.
  • When the opponent has possession of the ball, everyone returns to their own half.
  • The one who reaches the circle first can stand on goal.
  • The defense is mandatory offensively on own half.
  • Scoring is only allowed from the other side's half.
  • The goal of defending is to conquer the ball.
  • Personal coverage of a player is not allowed.

  • Coaches are game leaders, they explain rules, but do not punish.
  • Attacker gets the ball back after mistake and may try again.
Use Magnet aiming discs or a hole cloth if necessary.

  • Player throws to thrower, player catches ball again, lands in 0pass.
  • Then 3-step. Pay attention:
    • Left hand goes with ball, left arm stays slightly in front of body. Protection of ball and space in front.
    • Keep body low, increases jumping power. Dribble also helps.
    • High jump off, right leg gives a kicking motion slightly to the outside during throw.
    • Keep arm high at beginning of throw for more throwing power.
At 3 positions, within the 9 meters, lay down marking circles.
  • 2 for the null pass, then right-left-right or left-right-left.
  • No jumping.
  • Finishing on 1 leg standing and falling forward is allowed.
Players choose 2 positions from which to shoot. The possibilities are:

  • Left corner
    • There are 3 low hurdles here. Players go over the hurdles before finishing
    • While jumping over the hurdles, players look ahead, not to the ground
    • While jumping over the hurdles, players make a throwing motion with their ball
    • After the hurdles, they can finish, point of attention is that players jump well to the penalty spot

  • Left wing
    • Here are low hurdles. Players go over the hurdles before they pass and finish
    • When jumping over the hurdles, players look ahead, not to the ground
    • While jumping over the hurdles, players make sure they always land in a 0-swing
    • After landing in the last 0 pass, the player feints a move opposite a post (defender) and passes left or right between the post and the cap

  • Midfield
    • There is a ladder here. Players go through the ladder before finishing with a running shot
    • While going through the ladder, players look ahead, not to the ground
    • While going through the ladder, players make a throwing motion with their ball
    • After the last compartment of the ladder, the player brings the ball up from below to complete a running shot

  • Right wing
    • There is a pole (defender) on the 9 meter. Players finish with a distance shot
    • It is important that they are played in the run
    • Use the first 2 passes to gain speed, the last pass to move upwards
    • Point of attention is variation in the rounding.

  • 2 players on one side, about 10 metres apart (possibly mark with hats or pawns, 1 on the other side)
  • Of the 2 players, 1 dribbles to the other side and plays the ball, either directly or through the ground
  • The receiving player dribbles to the other side again and plays off, etc.
  • Throwing over, pay attention to correct posture, elbow at shoulder height, left in front, etc.
  • Throwing over with a running movement (left-right-left)
  • Throwing over with the left side
  • Throwing over behind the back
  • Always aim for the right (catching) hand. Catch with 2 hands - via the ground

Organization:
Children divide into groups of four, one of which is the attacking point

Catch:

- Children per foursome one ball
- Children stand in the width of the hall facing each other, distance about 4 meters
Command Throwing and Catching:
a. Attacking team plays the ball with bounce between the lines. Front players try to catch the ball.
b. Point of play plays the ball between the lines. Front players try to catch the ball.

Point of attack may choose whether to play the ball directly or with the bounce.

. Rules
- When you have caught the ball, play the ball back to the attacking point and join the line up.
- Change attacking point regularly.

  1. Dribble around 4 hats (past the goal)
  2. 3 Rolls with the ball on the mat
  3. Jump with 2 feet over 3 double hats
  4. Dribble over the 9 meter line to the side goal, pass the ball to the trainer, catch it again and shoot at pawns in the goal.
  • The group is split in two, in the middle is a large heavy ball.
  • Everyone is going to throw against it and try to get the ball over the line at the other side.
  • Both sides set up a goalkeeper and build-up.
  • 1st goalkeeper throws ball to buildup who run a fast break with the three of them. 
  • If the build-up is at the 6 meters on the other side, the goalie on that side starts the break.
  • Variation: change from LO or RO to MO.
