Hockeyexercises for technique build-up
Defending out using a feint flat:
- Position yourself well in relation to the opponent.
- Make a feint as if you are going to flatten the ball.
- Change technique at the last moment and play the ball calmly.
- Ensure good communication with your fellow players.
- Stay alert to any pressure from the opponent and adjust your action accordingly.
- Last man to RA
- RA to running Mid-Mid
- Mid-Mid to Striker
- Striker shoots or passes to Mid-Mid
- Last man plays to Left back.
- Left back plays back.
- Last man plays to Right back.
- Right back to incoming Right front.
- Right forward to center forward on head circle.
- Center forward shoots at goal.
- Right forward runs in for tip-in.
- A starts with the ball and passes it wide to B
- B takes the ball and passes to C
- C comes to the touchline
- C takes the ball and plays a 1:1 with the defender
- Party form with the goals not in the middle of the field but on the right sides of the field.
- Player A runs toward balls.
- Players B and C towards field of play.
- Player A takes the ball out -saves in.
- Players B and C offer themselves, being covered by the two defenders.
- Player A may make a selfpass.
- Attackers score in the big goal.
- Defenders if they get the ball, score in goal X.
Areas of focus are: quick take, offering, run and play lines, tackleback.
- Half Field.
- In the middle of the half field set out a square with pawns, players are not allowed to walk through it with the ball, but are allowed to walk through it without the ball.
Set a goal; for example:
- First play with your team 4x before you can score.
- Try with at least 3 or more players in the circle to outplay the goalkeeper during the attack. Do not aim for the ball to go straight to goal when you enter the circle but look for the right passing options.
- Try to build up the attack from the sides.
- Always try to have someone at the guard.
- Put a bowl down if the attack threatens to fail.
- You can also say; the ball must go around the back of the box per new attack if they are going to be huge on a bowl.
- -. Or if a goal attempt fails that then the ball must first be taken out of the circle before a new attempt may be made.
Additional difficulty: always enlarge the box if the attack goes well

4 defenders in the bowl -build up-, 2 midfielders, 3 strikers.
- From the bowl play around without pressure.
- With pressure: 3 defenders - opponents and goalkeeper in the circle.
- The 2 midfielders offer themselves from the axis to the back where the ball goes.
- Not being played on is to the line and back to the axis. Not passing to the long passing line.
- To be played on is to open and then pass to the pendant striker or the wing striker. After play-off continue to offer in the guard position.
- The two wing strikers offer themselves to the 23 meters.
- The striker on the attack offers himself to the front circle.
- The wing striker on the supporting side looks for scoring position at the far post.
With 3 players run up, pass and finish.
- Blue passes to red, runs after ball and connects behind red.
- Red passes to white, runs after ball and connects behind white.
- White passes to blue, runs behind ball and connects behind blue.
- And so on.
- The one with the ball on the edge of the circle rounds off.
- A starts with the ball and passes the ball to B.
- B passes the ball back to A.
- A takes the ball open and plays the ball to C.
- B runs through and gets the ball wide from C.
- From then on it is a 3 against 2: B, C, D against the 2 defenders.
- When the defenders intercept the ball they score at the goalmouth on the side
Focus areas:
- Maintaining speed in the game.
- Taking selfpass at pace, creating space.
- Overtime situation finishing on goal.
Taking the ball out at the orange pawns.
Alternate left and right.
Alternate left and right.
- Defending over the left.
- Defending over the right.
- Getting keeper to play in.
