Korfball drills for technique shoot / score / shot

  • Children learning to walk lines
drawing Up and down
  • 1 = 1 through ball
  • 2 = 5 distance shots
  • 3 = 3 rounds of running
  • 4 = 1 reverse shot
  • 5 = 5 short chances
  • 6 = 5 push ups
Teams of 2 to 3.

You start with a common number. For each task you complete, you get 1 point. Some finish earlier than others, so they roll the dice right away. Thus the children all have to do different tasks in the end.

  • Start with 1 leg in the ladder, other leg in the ladder and then next to it the legs alternately out. Rhythm in-in_out-out.
  • A defender walks backwards in the opposite direction. After the ladder, take a through ball.
  • Jump forward over the hurdle with both legs and then sideways over the other hurdles, make a sideways move to the right, get the ball and score.
  • Go through the speed ladder with a ski move, at the end get the ball and shoot directly.
  • 2 hat forward, 1 hat back, make a run-through move, get the ball and play the declarer, who steps out.
  • 5 sprint back and forth between the two hats 2x, make a penalty throw.
We work with 3 or 4 teams and each exercise lasts 4 minutes.
drawing Shot and core stability circuit
  • Declarant at the pole with ball.
  • Place the hurdles in front of the pole such that the nearest hurdle is 3 meters from the pole
  • Jump over the first hurdle and sideways over hurdles 2 and 3, then make a swerve to the side
  • Get the ball and score 10x right and 10x left
drawing Hurdles with fallback ball
  • Work with 3 or 4 teams per basket.
  • The players move in and out continuously from 5 meters.
  • The player with the ball chooses 1 of the outrunning people and throws the ball in tight.
  • The player who gets the ball shoots, the declarer catches off.
  • The ball is played out and the others make in/out moves again. Now another is played on, who shoots immediately.
Goal of the exercise is: continuous movement, being ready to shoot and tight passing.
3-counts per pole. Rebound, follow-through, shooter.
  • The shooter gets the ball played to her and shoots from about 6 yards out on motion
  • As soon as the passer thinks the ball can be caught, she goes for the breakthrough and takes a through ball
  • After the follow-through ball, the shooter, keeping her player busy, i.e. on the move, is played to and shoots
  • As soon as the passer thinks the ball can be caught, she goes for the breakthrough and takes a follow-through ball
  • After 3 shots, there is a change of positions - shooter becomes rebounder, rebounder becomes passer and passer becomes shooter.
  • Which 3-team scores 25x first?
  • The ball is in front of the post by white.
  • The red player runs out, gets the ball and shoots directly.
  • Red catches off, plays to white and runs out, gets the ball and shoots.
  • Blue catches off, plays to white, runs out, gets the ball back and shoots.
  • etc.
  • After 5 shots, everyone changes positions. Everyone 3 times declarer.
drawing Shot with feed from the front
Work with 3 or 4-person teams:
  • Make 15 through balls without missing
  • 20 distance shots on the move, maximum 2 shots in a row.
  • 15 dodge balls with double effort, so pass back and dodge again, the server gives light pressure on the shot.
  • 20 step-off balls behind the basket, indicating from a breakthrough, then the rebounder steps off and shoots. Step on time, not too early.
  • 15 penalty throws without missing. Take them alternately.
  • 20 shots from standstill at 3/4 yards; grab the focus.
  • Divide into two teams.
  • Make two boxes around the basket so that good shots can be made from outside.
  • Need 3 or 4 balls per game.
  • Shooters stand outside the box and one rebounder per team stands in the box near the opponent's shooters.

Exercise:
  • The shooters start shooting from outside the box to get to X number of goals as fast as possible.
  • The rebounders catch the ball and play it to their fellow players in the other box.
  • Which team will have scored X number of goals first.
Rules:
  • Rebounders are not allowed outside the box, shooters not in it.
  • The rebounder's job is to estimate as quickly as possible where all the balls are coming and how to get them to your teammates as quickly as possible.
drawing Two box shooting
  • Player 3 picks up the ball and throws it to player 1.
  • Player 3 runs to the post.
  • Player 4 goes over block, player 3 to the pointer.
  • Player 1 throws the ball to player 2.
  • Player 2 throws the ball to player 3 who enters the give way.
  • Player 3 dodges and gets the ball moving, behind the post, and shoots.
  • Player 4 connects, next to player 3.
  • Player 1 runs to the front of the post and keeps the player engaged until shot.
  • Player 2 takes player 1's position and after the shot goes to the post for the double-catch, ball over the basket.
drawing Capture when dynamically attacking
  • Make 2-person teams
  • 1 player is shooter and the other player stands under the basket to trap.
  • They shoot 2 times and then switch.
  • When the shooter scores, they may take a cap from the middle.
  • When the caps in the middle run out, the player may take them from the other 2-times.
  • Whoever has the most caps at the end has won.
Setup:
  • X number of baskets.
  • Use colored dice corresponding to color baskets.
Variation 1:
  • Have the players use the dice to determine how many shots/ chances to score/take at each basket.
  • They may take the ball to the other basket while running. Dribble down the court.
Variant 2:
  • Different types of chances!
  • 1 hand, penalty throw, through ball while running with the ball, etc.
Variant 3:
  • Have the players use the dice to determine how many shots/opportunities to score/take at the basket corresponding to the color of the die.
