- Player 1 moves the ball across to 5 and passes it to the other side; keep score up to x. 5 catches the ball and moves to the right of the basket etc.
- Ditto players turn half way whole round around each other. Then through ball
- Ditto with away ball
- Announcer pulls away to the right. Shooter too. So long passes. Forward rushes back to catch.
In pairs. One declarer and one attacker.
Communicator stands under the basket, attacker stands in front of the basket.
Communicator stands under the basket, attacker stands in front of the basket.
- The attacker runs wide left/right and gets the ball on the outside hand.
- Try to catch and play back with one hand.
- On the 4th pass the attacker is going to take a shot.
- Swap after 2 turns.
- Emphasis on solid passes, and acceleration after re-playing.
The goal of these drills is for threesomes/foursomes to keep moving at a steady pace and take turns taking a chance to score.
The shots come from all sides of the basket.
The shots come from all sides of the basket.
- Scoring 40 through balls, the shooter catches the ball himself and 1 of the 2 others comes in for a chance. In case of a 4-pointer, the ball can be caught by another player.
- Score 15 dodge balls. When the ball is caught, the third player immediately makes an evasive move and is played. Timing is important.
- 20 distance shots from about 6-8 meters from the basket, again keep moving until you get the ball.
Finally, each player scores 5 penalty shots in a row. The others can stretch in that time if they want.
Rules of play:
- You stay with your group on your own side.
- Leaders change sides so that everyone keeps moving.

- The children stand in pairs. The idea is that the children each have a tire and 1 ball.
- The children take turns bumping into the band, the other must take the ball before the ball falls to the ground next to the band.
- If this does happen, then five push-ups or five sit-ups are done.
2 tours around the field with alternation in jogging and sprinting.
- Combine in 3s around the post and score 40 through balls, coming at the basket from a different place each time.
The idea is to score from all sides. - Score 25 penalty shots.
- Move around the basket at a steady pace, making an evasive move just before the ball is played to you.
Score with 3 team 15 times. Again around the basket. - You keep moving at about 6/7 meters from the basket. After a "double" you shoot at the basket. Again all the way around the basket.
Note: at the back of the basket, you can shoot a maximum of 6 meters from the basket.
Distance: 20 meters with a pawn after 10 meters.
- Jog back and forth 10 times at a steady pace.
- Up to half 10 meters walking on your heels, then jogging out and back.
- Up to half 10 meters on your toes, then out jogging and back jogging.
- 2 times back and forth side to side in the middle changing sides.
- 2 times to half (10 meters) knee lift, then sprint out and jog back.
- Jog back and forth 5 times at a slightly faster pace.
Versatile match exercise 4 against 4
- Make 2 teams of 4 players maximum.
If you have more players than 8, make 2 pairs and change quickly after each or after 2 goals. - Team 1 starts attacking at 1 basket, team 2 defends.
If team 1 scores, they may continue attacking, but start again at the starting pawn.
If team 2 intercepts the ball they have 1 shot opportunity to try to score on basket 2 or 3.
If the defence scores after 1 shot, they become the new offence team and may start at the starting pawn, to attack basket 1. - Which team has scored the 5 goals first? You can vary this.
- Change when there are more than 8 players: after 1 or 2 goals quickly change.
In pairs and with a basket
- Together take 6 distance shots. Number of missed shots is run to fence and back.
- Together 10 walk-through balls. Number of missed is number of burpees to be performed.
- Together 20 shot opportunities. Number of missed opportunities is number of squats to be performed.
- Together take 10 penalty throws. Number of missed penalty throws is number of crunches x 10.
- Both teams line up behind the line and each has their own sprint track.
- The focus here is on responding to commands while sprinting, Goal of the players is to be first through a gate.
- This can be the gate at the end of the sprint track. However, a command can also be given by the trainer to run through a gate at the side of the track (pots/cones).
- Sprinting forward, backward or really stopping and turning around are all possibilities.
Fun of this game is that you can turn it into a little competition. As a trainer, you can give the commands in such a way that the score is always exciting, because not always the fastest sprinter wins, but the player who reacts the fastest.
