Volleyball drills

  • 3 teams 1 ball.
  • A and B stand at the net and C stands opposite A on the back line.
  • A throws the ball to C, C tests diagonally to B, B catches.
  • Meanwhile A moves opposite B and then A tips the ball to C.
  • After 20 passes turn over


If more players then distribute on both sides of the field and then an extra defender in the waiting room and starts running as soon as the 1st player is ready

Serve from the other side of the court

The players take turns passing the ball to position 2/3 (here are a couple of catchers).
The catcher catches the ball and brings it back to the TR --> then starts serving again.

  • Place 6 hoops in each half of the field.
  • One trainer stands in the first hoop on one side.
  • The other trainer stands in the first hoop on the other side.
  • The players must try to serve the trainer, when he catches the ball the trainer may move 1 hoop up.
  • The trainer who has passed all the hoops first, has won together with the players who served on him/her.

Make pairs and per pair one hoop.

  • 2 players in the field.
  • 1 with hoop and 1 without
  • The ball is thrown into the field by the trainer.

  • The ball bounces in the hoop and person 2 has to pass the ball.
  • Person 1 then gives the set-up and finally person 1 finishes it off by passing the ball over the net.

PURPOSE: Walking withthe ball and choosing the right position.

  • Trainer throws from the net:
    • 3 teams on the backline on the stomach
  • Trainer hits ball, 3 players stand up and trainer attacks one of the trio defends, no. 2 setup and no. 3 attacks
    • after that next 3 team

Pass formation of 3 persons on 1 side of the net, 4th player catches and counts. Other side of the net other players serve.

High tempo serving - per passer 10 balls must be passed well.

Trainer serves the ball over the net player runs to the ball and lets it bounce in the hoop and passes.

  • 2 rows of players

  • This player passes the ball over the net to the previous player.

Pay attention in the exercises:

  • Pass must come high so player can catch the ball 'overhand'.
  • Pass to the right, right foot forward
  • Pass to the left, left foot forward

The exercise:
