Volleyball drills for technique attack / smash / spike / hitting

Equipment setup:
  • Goal in the middle of the field against the wall, with one player in it
  • Other players in a row
Game sequence:
  1. Players throw/strike the ball at the goal and try to score in the goal. Each in turn.
  2. The player in the goal , blue, tries to keep the balls out of the goal.
Note:
Use 5 pawns as scoreboards.
Each player who scores may take a pawn away from the goalkeeper. At 5 goals switch players in goal.

This is a game-style exercise.
  • In the opposite field, place a bench with a number of upright pawns on it.
  • Children line up on the 3-meter line one after the other.
  • The trainer throws/plays the ball out and the children hit the ball over the net and try to knock the pawns off the bench.
  • Pawn off the bench? Then you have 1 point.
Who has knocked the most pawns off the bench?
Setup:
  • 2 storage players
  • 1 blocker on 2
  • 1 pass
  • 2 defenders
Exercise:
  • Storage is given to or between the defenders.
  • Receptionist joins the pass.
  • Non-reception player attacks at 3 or 4.
  • The person who took the reception runs to the back and jumps over the hurdle.
Passing: storage player > blocker > reception > storage

The goal is to look at the block setting and set it properly.
This can be accomplished by following the following steps:
  • TR hits L.
  • L gives pass on 2/3 run-in SV and set.
  • In base to position 3 and 4.
  • Possibly expand to position 2 and 6.

  • Then make it a little harder by playing pass straight.

  • The TR stands along the other side and throws in a ball.
  • The 2 in the field build up and step aside for the next 2.

Setup:
Which team brings in most gold pieces/ pits?
  • 1 bank & one-against-all
  • 2-4 gangs of thieves
  • 1-2 guards.
Game consists of 4 rounds of play:

Game Round 1:
  • Thief - attacker: per post only 1 active & 1 gold piece at a time try to steal from bank.
  • Collect in own vault -hoop-.
  • Guard - defender- may only defend outside the bank.
  • If the thief is caught so tapped, he must leave the gold piece in the police station -under a cone.
  • Which team was able to steal most gold pieces?
Game Round 2:
  • Divide gold pieces equally among the thieves.
  • Thieves: safely move your gold pieces 1-for-1 to other safe -from one hoop to another.
  • Thief -attacker: walk around your cone without the guard catching you.
  • Agent -defender: in this case may only defend inside the bank.
  • If the thief is caught -attacked, he must leave the gold piece in the police station -under a cone.
  • Which team was able to transfer most gold pieces safely?

Game Round 3:
  • Thieves: for x time, steal as many gold pieces as possible from other safe.
  • Thief -attacker: mandatory back & forth through bank = watch for guard inside bank.
  • Guard may only defend inside bank.
  • If the thief is caught so tapped, he must leave the gold piece in the police station -under a cone.

Game round 4:
Same as game round 3, but with double guard 1 guard outside & 1 guard inside the bank.

Which team will have the most gold pieces in their possession after 4 rounds of play?

  • 3 triplets:
    • 1 throws balls to
    • 1 provides ball security
    • 1 goes to work
  • Ball is attacked in the straight on thrown on ball.
  • This ball is caught and thrown back to the person who threw it.
  • The attacker meanwhile goes around the pawn in the backfield and comes back to attack again.
  • 10 balls and then change.
  • Each trio starts at the same time.
  • Create sequences of 3
  • Build up the sequences in difficulty

  • dry practice 25 x
  • hitting ball that person is holding 25 x
  • throwing with tennis ball & catching 25 x
  • hitting with volleyball against wall 25 x

Open to setter
On raise - skirting - and put down mat to come down on.
  • get ready, jump off do no move 25 x

Open tosetter and hit
  • hit from elevation at the net, over the net 25 x everyone get their own ball

Run-up 1 step
  • dry to the net start on 1 leg 25 x

  • 1 does approach from 1 step hitting the ball
  • other tries to hit the ball

Throw up the ball per 2
  • throw up with your striking arm, calmly hitting each other
