Handballexercises for technique attack / offense

  • 5 players stand on the 6 meters and hold hands.
  • One attacker tries to dribble past and finish.
  • Simple exercise to practice moving with the ball
  • 2 stations - change attackers every time.
  • 4 pawns, for 2 starting spots and corner shot / side shot.
  • 2 starting points, in corner and in front, left or right.
  • 1st station: In the corner, bounce or throw the ball on the ground, then turn and make a long jump shot - let the goalkeeper run out.
  • 2nd station from sideline, throw ball on and jump shot
On the other side in mirror image to practice other angle.

  • You make 3-counts.
  • At high speed play the ball without bounce, make a change with the builders.
  • First without defense, then with defense.
  • Finish on goal.
  • Marker at 6 meters, slightly left.
  • Line of 3 markers slightly to the right of that.
  • Player throws on trainer.
  • Runs forward and backward around first marker.
  • Arriving at the line, the player catches the ball without stopping and rounds along the line.
  • Set down hurdles or double low hats in a left-right pattern.
  • With 2 legs over the hurdle, wide step sideways and again with 2 legs over the hurdle.
  • Mats at the 9 meter on build-up positions: stand next to the mat - with 1 leg a wide jump over the mat and then complete with 2 or 3 passes, depending on the side you choose
  • Practice the above without mat, with opponent as dummy :-)
  • 1 versus 1 in a narrow space: demarcate with markers - first walk forwards and backwards, so pass each other twice, then start the attack. Practice passing and feinting.
3 hats at 9 meters 3 hats again 2 meters away.

Player runs from 11 to 9 meters, backwards again and forward to 9 meters again.
There the player throws over to the other builder with successively:
  • strong throw
  • jump throw
  • sideways throw
Important, posture/look ahead, don't turn in until the last moment.
  • Throwing ball on from hat to trainer, who throws back.
  • Dribble to 4 double markers.
  • Jump with 2 legs over them with the ball.
  • At right angles around 6 markers with ball.
  • Run to 3 marked steps.
  • Then pass ball to trainer, run through, catch ball and finish on goal.
  • Then zig-zag dribble around hats.
Line player stands at approximately 7 meters with his back to the goal.
In front of the line player stands a chook
  • 2 players left and right behind the line player alternately throw a ball into the chook.
  • The line player catches, turns 180 degrees as fast as possible and shoots jumping from position on goal, with goalkeeper.
  • Can be on either side.
  • Throwers alternate.
  • After 4 line players switch.

  • Throwing ball on from hat to trainer, who throws back.
  • Dribble to 4 double markers.
  • Jump with 2 legs over them with the ball.
  • At right angles around 6 markers with ball.
  • Run to 3 marked steps.
  • Then pass ball to trainer, run through, catch ball and finish on goal.
  • Then zig-zag dribble around hats.
  • Possibly dummy in goal - 2 poles with vest.
Make pairs with a ball.
  • The one without the ball stands diagonally behind the one with the ball.
  • The player with the ball tips the ball to the 9-meter line as quickly as possible. The player without the ball tries to tap the ball away.
    Without making physical contact.
Circuit:
  • Zig-zag partoon with flat markers: walk forward and backward, pay attention to light stride, especially forefoot.
  • Then dribble to:
    • Goal on side next to center line, put bench in front of it. Make jump shot.
    • Left of goal 5 pawns: dribble slalom
    • Do a head roll on the mat.
    • Then to the right, there is a pawn at 6 meters, very diagonal to the goal. Make jump shot at 2 pawns standing in the goal.
At 3 positions, within the 9 meters, lay down marking circles.
  • 2 for the null pass, then right-left-right or left-right-left.
  • No jumping.
  • Finishing on 1 leg standing and falling forward is allowed.
