Korfball drills for technique shoot / score / shot

  • Shooting from a neighborhood ball from 7 yards with two attackers under the basket each with a ball.
  • Which player scores the most in two minutes?
  • 1 declarer throws the ball to the person in front of the basket
  • he then makes a shot when the ball is caught
  • under the basket he then goes inside
  • and takes a walkthrough ball
  • finally, he takes a short chance
    • you can play this like this, for example, who is the first to the 20
  • There are three players standing at a pole.
  • Player 1 starts with the ball and throws to 2, 3 runs first short and then long, then gets the ball from player 2 and shoots.
  • Player 1 catches and throws to player 2, player 2 throws to 3 and then player 1 runs the long line.
  • This is how the process repeats itself.

Variations:

  • Instead of shooting, player 1 cuts in and throws number 3 in and comes for the through ball
  • Same as above, but then player 3 does not take a walkthrough ball but pulls player 1 away and takes a short chance
  • Let the children divide themselves over 3 poles.
    • More poles if there are many children
  • One person may start shooting from 1 meter if the basket is hit within 2 attempts, the player may continue shooting from 2 meters.
  • If they can't hit the basket in two attempts, it's the next player's turn.
    • In this way we can see which children can shoot from far and less far.
    • You can also see which children are stronger in their arms, so that you can pay attention to that next time you make groups.
  • With the weight through the knees and up again.
  • Do this 10 times and then shoot 5 times at 3 meters from the pole.
  • Then we pick up the weight again and move our arms along the body and then forward with our arm stretched.
  • Next, we move forward with stretched arm.
  • We do this also 10 times and then shoot 5 times at 5 meter.
  • Then finally we move with stretched arms to the side 10 times.
  • Then we shoot 5x at the pole at 7 meter.
  • Set up 3 posts in a triangle at the edge of the field, under each post a person who supplies the ball without it.
  • At a good distance from the post you place a pawn and the rest of the players with the ball are placed near the pawn.
  • You throw the ball to the middle basket and make a run through on this post.
  • The person who throws in catches the ball.
  • The catcher throws the ball after 1 of the 2 korfballs (free basket) and also takes a run through here.

To be adapted by:

  • 1st post pass
  • 2nd pole in/out shot

  • 1st post short chance passer
  • 2nd pole wide run shot

  • 1 shooter in front of the post. 1 passer.
  • Possibly with slight defensive pressure.
  • Attacker moves left/right, gets the ball played and shoots (+-5 meters).
  • When he scores, he earns a point and shoots through, if he misses he must first run to a line behind him at about 5 metres from the place of shooting.
  • After this you can continue shooting.
  • Switch goals every 3/4 of the time.
  • Total 8/9 goals per post. (It depends on whether you play with or without a defender).
  • One rebounder, one defender and one attacker.
  • 30 sec attacks...if attacker can score, he becomes rebounder at the next post.
  • If not, he becomes the defender.
  • Rebounder becomes attacker all the time...
Pairs at a basket,
2 pawns at 4 meters in front of the basket with 3/4 meters between them.

  • Player 1 starts to the left of the basket and jumps back and forth OVER the pawn.
  • Runs to the other pawn and does the same thing there.
Next:
  • Make dodge ball in front of the shot
  • Or make a through ball
  • Or cut around the basket for small chance
After each shot, the person performs the exercise at the pawns again.

Variation:
Jumping over the pawns can also be replaced with x number of squats, lunges, burpees etc.

  • Pairs at a basket
  • 2 pawns in front of basket at 4 meters with 3 meters between them.

  • Player 1 starts: 30 seconds tapping pawn with hand, left and right.
  • After the 30 seconds calmly take 3 shots.
  • Repeat this 3 times.
  • Player must remember how many shots he has scored out of 9 goal attempts.
  • After this, player 2 does exactly the same thing.

Per 3- or 4-team at a basket.
Step 1:
  • Player Red defends Player Blue.
  • Player Blue has the ball and then throws it to Player White and runs deep and shoots.
Step 2:
  • Follow Step 1 and after Player Blue runs deep, Player White rushes in for a giveaway.
  • Player Blue goes for a pass through Blue.
  • Player Red continues to defend, but allows the through ball.
> Take the goal attempts as calmly as possible
> If by 4 put down a rebound.
drawing Running deep lines
  • The ball enters the box in a 4-0 formation.
  • The player on the other side -for- cuts in for support.
  • At the moment the ball is played to the diagonal player makes a breakthrough or lateral move, gets the ball played to him and gets to the shot.
  • If no goal is scored, the support can shift attention to the other back, where breakthroughs or clearances can be made for the shot.
Note: The player on the side of the ball can also run in instead of the player in front. The action then comes from the other side of the box.

Exercise:
  • Score 5 through balls over left and over right
  • Score 5 clearance balls from the left and right.
