Volleyball drills

  • Catching the ball from position 6.
  • Pass ball from position 6 to player at position 3.
    • Trainer throws the balls to.
    • Player catching the ball puts the ball in the ball box and connects.
  • Catcher throws the ball to position 4 and there a player comes to play the ball over the net.
Pairs a ball.

  • 1 player bounces ball, other player tries to take it away without grabbing the opposing player. If successful, the role changes.
  • In pairs pass the ball from one side of the room to the other. Without running with the ball yourself. Who is the fastest? If it goes wrong, pick up where it went wrong.
  • Same, but then throw it. If it goes wrong then start again.
  • Ball in the middle of the room between the players. Players on the back line on coach's signal run to the ball. Who has the ball first?
  • Players one meter apart with ball in the middle on the floor. On signal from trainer. Hands on head/ knee/ shoulder/ or ball.
  • 1 of the two has the ball and holds it with two hands. Opponent has hands just above the ball. As soon as the other drops the ball, try to catch it before it hits the ground.
  • Place 2 chairs in the court on which 1 player takes a seat.
  • Others will serve.
  • Whoever catches the ball gets to serve.
  • The serving player takes his place on the chair.

  • Ball is passed over the net.
  • Afterwards, player runs under net.
  • Player takes reception and passes to 3.
  • Setter passes to 4 and catches the ball.

Mats and tapping:
  • There are 3 mats.
  • Players must change mats 10 times. They can be tapped and then they lose the points.

Game:
  • 2 teams play against each other.
  • Ball must be thrown OH.
  • If one has caught the ball, one may not run with the ball.
  • If one drops the ball one must leave the field of play. One can return if the other fellow players have caught the ball 3 times.

2-pairs one ball:
  • Throwing on and touching back, pay attention to good posture, stand firmly wide, make small passes towards the ball.
  • Passing and touching back from movement:
    1. Running backwards
    2. Walk sideways
    3. Running forward
Trying to play over:
  • 1x to yourself and then play over.
  • Trying to run after.
  • Attack from one side, passer chooses where she passes.
  • Team setup does Position defense and plays counterattack if necessary.
  • Block! Formation defense!

  • One press on chair attacking each time, across net blocks and then dive at 3 meter line. Another "supplies" balls for person on chair. each 10x.
  • Same as exercise 2. Now comes only a 2nd tip at about 5 to 6 meters. Defending facing the net!

  • Player keys over and underhand passes into basket.

  1. Trainer hits balls to the passers, after your pass you take the place of the attacker who attacked.
  2. Except on middle. The middle attacker stays in position and only changes with another middle.
  3. High tempo so change positions quickly.

  • 1st player blue has no ball the rest do

  • Red defender passes to SV

ROTATION
  • Blue passer --> guard red
  • Attacker gets the ball himself and joins behind line of blue

  • Serve --> defense/pass and 3-meter attack --> play out rally
With odd number of players:
  • leave the SV on 1 side --> after x number of balls the SV moves to the other side
    OR
  • Player in the waiting room, side of the field, and after each attack the most right player goes out.
  • One moves up and the reserve player comes in from the left.
Which team has 10 points first.

  • Divide the group into 4 (or more) players
  • Player (divider) at the net with ball
  • The rest of the players in defense. Each player has 1 ball with the exception of 1 player
Exercise:
  • Player at the net constantly distributes the ball to a defender with ball --> player throws his ball to player without ball and passes the ball back to the player at the net.
