Volleyball drills

This is a game-style exercise.
  • In the opposite field, place a bench with a number of upright pawns on it.
  • Children line up on the 3-meter line one after the other.
  • The trainer throws/plays the ball out and the children hit the ball over the net and try to knock the pawns off the bench.
  • Pawn off the bench? Then you have 1 point.
Who has knocked the most pawns off the bench?
  • Sitting back and forth deeply
  • Tapping pots
drawing Sitting deep

Exercise:
  • Storage is given to or between the defenders.
  • Receptionist joins the pass.
  • Non-reception player attacks at 3 or 4.
  • The person who took the reception runs to the back and jumps over the hurdle.
Passing: storage player > blocker > reception > storage
drawing Reception & block
  • Players divide at positions 1 and 5, on both sides of the court.
  • The ball stays in its own court and only goes over the net.
  • Play begins with throwing in and then moves to keys and underhand play.
  • When the ball is played away, the players move to the cone in the backfield.
  • Then they walk around the court and rejoin their own group.
drawing Throw-in & displacement
Give each player a ball and stand by the wall.

  • Stand 30-40 cm from the wall.
  • Ball in key position above head.
  • Only fingers push ball against wall and catch back in hands.
  • Elbows stand firm and hands remain, otherwise ball in face.
  • Have players stand a little further, about 1 meter.
  • Throw ball up and keys against the wall.
  • Now do extend elbows and knees, make yourself big!
  • Catch the ball back.
  • Now try to key on the concrete beam. So push high.
  • Trying to key through.
Those who can do this technique well may then play over the net.
  • Ball for themselves collide on the ground and then key over the net.
  • Back through the other side of the ribbon.
drawing Overhand technique against wall
  • We form two rows at the back line.
  • We take 1 ball per 2 players.
  • Players alternate playing to each other! The last one tries to score the ball in the basket.
  • You can possibly make these more difficult by placing the basket past the net so they have to go under here.
    • All keys
    • All underhand
    • Alternate keying/underhand
    • Free choice - last player scores by hitting the basket with an overhand shot
drawing Warming up ball mini
The goal is to look at the block setting and set it properly.
This can be accomplished by following the following steps:
  • TR hits L.
  • L gives pass on 2/3 run-in SV and set.
  • In base to position 3 and 4.
  • Possibly expand to position 2 and 6.
drawing Move block orders
Field with 8 players.
  • Per 2 players, 1 of which has the ball.
  • Players without ball stand in the middle.
  • Players with ball each stand in a corner of the field.
  • When TR says yes, players without ball move sideways low to the side of the field so they are in front of their teammate
  • Receive a pass from the players from the corners and key back.
  • Then they walk back to the center of the field.
drawing Pace reception
  • 1x 3-team on back line 1 side of field
  • 1x 3-team on back line other side of field
  • 1x 3-squad --> waiting room
  1. TR --> gives slap on the ball, both 3-talks run to the net and TR throws the ball into the field where the waiting room players are also standing.
  2. Ball is defended, must be in threes, and then over the net
  3. This 3-tal passes immediately to the side where the ball was played to as waiting room
  4. Immediately the waiting room 3-squad enters the field.
  5. 3-tal other side also plays the ball in threes and over the net, also runs through to the other side chasing the ball to waiting room.
