Volleyball drills for technique general
- Two players per half and then
- play over the net after two hits and
- turn out the next two
- If it goes very well, bring in a second ball.
1 plays overhand to 2
2 plays overhand back and moves alternately 3 meters to the left or right
and returns to the starting position.
1 plays the returned ball directly to the left or right of 2 and changes after 2 mints. VARIATION: 2 plays overhand
- 2 threes game with attack behind the 3meter
- S gives set-ups and goes under the net
- Team in field A can only score points
- If team in field B wins, it may move to field A
- 4,5,and 6 then take the spot and start with a serve
- C attacks 1,2 and 3
- 1 defends and the 2nd plays high to C
- C attacks again.
- Ball on the ground:
- 4 turns in
- VARIATION: C changes its position at the net
- 2 threesomes game with attack behind the three meter
- S gives set-ups and goes under the net
- Team in field A can only score points
- If team in field B wins, it may move to field A
- 4,5,and 6 then take the spot and start with a serve
- players at 6 meter distance, 1 ball.
- 1 plays overhand to 2
- 2 underhand for himself and overhead to 1

- Instead of overhead, attack calmly.
Trainers throw ball to over the net and player:
- Throw ball into field let it bounce and step over it.
- Catch oh the ball
- Catches bra the ball
- Catches the ball sitting down
- Catches the ball with 1 knee on the ground
- Lies down on the ground and drops the ball on the buttocks

- Two players one ball.
- Player 1 throws the ball long and then short.
- Player 2 plays back underhand.
- First long then short and runs back.
- Team one ball.
- Player 1 throws the ball long and then short.
- Player 2 plays back underhand, first long, then short and runs back.
- After five changes.
Line up: several rows in a row behind the back line.
- Sloth: sit with your back to the other side, legs extended. Pull with your hands to the other side.
- Seal: flat on belly --> pull forward with hands to get to the other side.
- Spiderman: on all fours, always moving the opposite hand and foot together: LH + RV & RH + LV
- Bearwalk: on your hands and feet to the other side
- Monkey walk: let your hands + arms hang down, almost to the ground (like a monkey) and so to the other side.
- Peacock: stepping, quietly, every time bringing leg/knees up until they form a right angle with the upper body.
- Kangaroo: same as peacock, but faster/more like skipping.
Variation:
- Instead of doing it as a relay/race, the players can also walk around and on a certain signal perform the movement that belongs to a certain animal.
- You can do the exercises on a whole field or on half a field.
Formation: circle/rectangle (on half a field)
- Dribble with right hand
- Dribble with left hand
- Alternate dribbling
- While dribbling, try to kneel down (knee by knee) --> sitting --> lying down
