Basketball drills for technique shooting
- 2 teams against each other
- 5 point shooting with 10 baskets at each position.
- Shot and own rebound.
- Each player takes 2x 2 free throws.
- At 1 miss, go 1 length
- At 2 misses 2 lengths to go through
- Goal:
- Get shooter free shot wing.
- 3 rows. Guard 1 with ball.
- 2 and 3 wing.
- Wing 2 sets low screen perimeter bucket. (Later double with center)
- Wing 3 cuts through bucket past screen.
- Set screen so Wing 3 can cut to wing, free shot.
- If defender cheats, touch Wing 2.
- Wing 2 goes up, 3 go's back to orig. position.
- Always roll after screen.
- 1 go's to 2,
- 2 go's to 3.
- 3 go's to 2
- Goal:
- Post up the pivot.
- Feed the pivot. 2 on 2.
- Use all means, backscreen, pick-and-roll. Boxing-out.
- (Needed for 3out-2 in system)
- 1 ball per side. (2 shots allowed when rebounded)
- Score, offense stays offense.
- Position 2 or 3 out.
- Feed the post.
- Player move after the pass left or right.
- Get ball back from post, shoot. (Max one dribble)
- 2 baskets. 5x2 Free throws. 6 must be in.
- Rest team around bucket must destract shooter. No touching and not in front off player.
- Less than 6 is 20- sit-ups.
- free play on 1 or 2 baskets, depending on the number of players.
- PURPOSE: Quick passing, cutting, helpside, ballside, boxing-out.
- First team at 5.
- Loser push-ups 6.
- Target: Focus on ritual.
- Tired end of match.
- Breathing easy/Ritual.
- 2x2 free throws p.p. 2 baskets.
- 4 push-up shooter.
- Then shoot.
- While 1 player 4 push-up, this will be next shooter.
- Rest of team rebounds. Etc, etc.
- Depending on the number of balls.
- Pairs or alone.
- In singles.
- Start at your position, dribble to opposite side of basket.
- Set or jump shot from your position (guard, forward, center).
- Up to 8 hits.
- In pairs.
- Start from position, pass to opposite basket.
- Last pass must be good so that shooter in jumpshot is ready for his/her shot.
- Up to 4 touches per player!!!!!
- Losers, 1x back and forth slides in width.8 hoops/pawns for shooting positions.
- The players stand around the bucket or on the free throw line and try to score in the basket.
- Vary their position and distance.
- Players dribble from the center line to the free throw line and try to score from there within 5 seconds.
Competition form.
- 2 groups against each other.
- You have to make 15 good lay-ups with your group.
- If you succeed, you sit down and you've won.
- As an extension of this, in two minutes you have to make as many lay-ups as possible with your group.
- At least 3 balls per group so you don't have to wait for the ball.
- The lay-up must at least have a two step rhythm otherwise it does not count.
- Approximately 4 to 5 minutes.
