Volleyball drills for technique attack / smash / spike / hitting

  • 6 are in line-up
  • Trainer and player stand on the other side of the pitch.
  • Trainer calls BLOCK,
    • The midfielder and left-hander block together.
    • The rest react with the movement as agreed.
    • Trainer then plays the ball, and the six finish the rally.
    • This can be done left and right.
  • no one is to go into the three yards,

  • 3 players start serving

OBJECTIVE:

  • Ball is passed to position 5
  • Position 5 brings reception - Position 3 makes pass

  • Block tries to block ball
    • Positions 3 & 5 in coverage
  • IF BAL IS BLOCKED = pos 3 & 5 have cover ball
    • Cover ball - pass - attack

  • Meanwhile position 6
    • Throw it yourself - attack behind 3 meter line position 6
    • Attack towards position 1 #REQUIRED
  • Turn over:
    • Attacker becomes block position 4
    • Block position 4 becomes block position 3
    • Block position 3 becomes reserve at position 6 (behind 3 attack)
    • The one who attacked behind 3 meter line, comes to play ball


Goal: improve the prick ball, high at the net.

  • 4 against 4.
  • Trainer throws the ball from pos. 6 in such a way that the midfield and possibly the left and right front have to prick the ball.
  • Try to push the ball down with 2 hands, big hands.
  • Also push left and right.
  • Opposite 4 team, also try to pick up/block the ball.

  • Throw to each other
    • After the action: tap the back line
  • Top spin move under the net and make ball dead
    • After the action: block at position 2 - touch the back line
  • Top spin move over the net and play ball reception
    • After the action: block at position 2 - touch the back line
  • Control key
    • After the action: backline tap
  • Bottom hand - top hand
    • After the action: tapping the baseline
  • Direct key
    • No after action


  • Playing on a half field
  • Two teams: Team A and team B
  • Mat in the middle of the field
  • Team A starts:
    • One player hits the mat
    • The other players stand around the mat
    • Reception - pass - attack on the mat
      • Other team does the same
    • After each contact tap the net
    • Point made when other team cannot catch ball;
    • then other team starts attacking on the mat
