- Ball left or right --> slide to the left or right

- Ball above head --> Jump

  • Two three or four-team teams. (teams)
  • Per team 2 balls.
  • 1 shooter, 2 (or 3) rebounder(s).
  • Shooter shoots (from free throw line, or lower position), then sprints to center line.
  • Rebounder catches ball, passes ball to shooter. (proper jump stop, proper distance, call for ball)
  • Shooter total 10 scores, then new shooter.
  • Team whose first to have all shooters score 5 times wins!
  • Loser runs a suicide.

Setup

  • All players scattered around the room (circle the trainer)

Performance

  • Jumping rope:
    • 2 minutes of normal (forward).
  • Mountain climbers:
    • 15 seconds.
  • Skipping rope:
    • 2 minutes alternating:
    • left front, right back/right front, left back.
  • Mountainclimbers:
    • 30 seconds.
  • Skipping rope:
    • 2 minutes alternating:
    • left leg, right leg.
  • Mountain climbers:
    • 45 seconds.

  • 1 or 2 rows just below the board on either side of the basket.
  • Make sure there are at least 4 players per row.
  • Ball is thrown against the board next to the basket and "tipped" into the tide by the next player (catch it two hands and throw it back to the board immediately).
  • The third player catches this ball again, etcetera.
  • After the action, a player closes behind the (other) row.
  • The exercise is finished when a minimum number of successful tips in a row have been achieved (without the ball touching the ground).
  • Variation:
    • Players must pass behind the coach before they may rejoin the (other) row.
    • The coach walks backwards slowly, which means they have to run harder. (This is a must with rows of 6 or more players).
    • The ball must be both caught and thrown again during 1 jump. (is quite difficult for smaller or weaker players)
    • Advice:
      • This can also involve deducting 1 point in the event of a failed tip instead of starting again at zero.

  • Tapping
  • All players on the baseline.
  • 30 sec tapping, sprint to center line, 30 sec tapping, sprint to back line, 30 sec tapping.
  • Slides
  • All players on the baseline, in slide position and facing left. (or right)
  • Slides to the opposite side, until trainer calls GO.
  • At GO sprint back to baseline and make other side slides.
  • Up to other baseline.
  • Squads
  • All players on back line, facing center of field.
  • 10x single squad.
  • 10x halfway and through squad.
  • 5x stay deep and only go back up after 5 seconds. (slowly!)
  • Lunges
  • Lunge walk to the other side of the room. (slow down!)
  • Players divide into 2 groups at the sideline.
  • Group in runs 1 length back and forth from sideline to sideline.
  • When everyone in the group is back the other group runs.
  • Then 2 times then 3 times then 4 times.
  • Then reduce back to 1 time.
  • Two or three teams. (teams)
  • Per pair or trio 1 ball.
  • 1 shooter, 1 (or 2) rebounder(s).
  • Shooter shoots (from free throw line, or lower position), then sprints to centre line.
  • Rebounder catches ball, passes ball to shooter. (Good jump stop, correct distance, call for ball).
  • Shooter 5 scores in total, then new shooter.
  • Team of which first all shooters have scored 5 times, wins!
With 3 men on the back line and the middle having the ball
  • The middle passes to a man
  • Runs after the ball.
  • Who passes to the man on the other side
  • Also runs after the ball.
  • They do this while running to the basket on the other side.
  • When someone is close enough to the basket, the man runs a lay-up.
NOTE: no ball on the ground, so the other must rebound (even when scoring)!
Everyone in the trio must have scored once.
If that takes more than 6 attempts, then they all have to do 10 pushups
Groups divided over baskets, 2 pylons on head bucket
